I don't know anything about the guy but even if he was on the practice squad, ain't that enough to live on? Is knocking over a liquor store lurking that close to the surface?

That certainly won't hurt his cause... but these are some serious some charges, he will do a good amount of time when found guilty...

think it hurts him. it shows the change from one spectrum behavior to the other. the courts will give more caution to the player's current events. plus, courts have little sympathy to those who have adequate earnings and still commit crimes.
