40 yds - 4.43
Shuttle - 4.06
Power Ball - 41ft
Vertical - 45.5
Kirk has the top qualifying time for 5A, not bad for a 5'11 & 206 pound football player who had not run track in 3 years.

Folsom
LSU just offered Kirk Merrit from Destrehan
quote:
I like Merrit as a Percy Harvin weapon. He can take some jet sweeps but also be utilized in the passing game.

Doesn't have that speed.

Kirk ran (FAT) 10.76 in the 100m last Thursday. This was the first time he run track since eight grade.
Kirk had a great day

Vertical 45.8 inches
Power ball toss 43 feet
Shuttle. 4.1 seconds
Forty time. 4.6 seconds
Kirk is a three time AAU gold medalist in the 100 meter dash. He stop running track three years ago when he started weight training. His fastest time in the 100 meters was 11.3 seconds (F.A.T) when he was in 8th grade. He just recently began training for the outdoor season, he told me he is going to have a good season.
Here are the measurements recorded last Saturday by the LSU coaching staff:

Height/Weight - 5'11/203LBS
Arm length - 33.5 inches
Wingspan - 77.5 inches
Hand size - 10 1/8 inches
In the last two weeks he received offers from TCU, Texas Tech, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Clemson.

Not yet, but I believe Cal, Washington State and Utah may offer soon.

Thank you, I didn't know that. But I know the coaches at Destrehan a (5A) school, can't wait to see his skill set in action. Thanks again for that update.
That link is a video of Kirk when he was a 12 year old running the 100 meters at the AAU Junior Olympics in Des Moine Iowa. He was the AAU Junior Olympic gold medalist in the 100 meters three years in a row.
the highlights are only available on mobile phones.
That's him but he is 5'11 and 200lbs
