Headed out to the Boudin Cookoff this weekend - haven't been out there in a few years and I'm looking for something new to try for dinner Saturday night and breakfast/brunch Sunday. Suggestions?

For a sunday brunch I don't think you can go wrong with the french press on vermillion, but maybe someone else has a better option for you.

What these guys have already said. I'd go with Social for dinner and Fench Press for brunch.

I've never been to Social. Been to French Press and had shoddy service. Might just hit up Cafe des Amis.

For brunch on Sunday, French Press is good. If you are looking for volume then go to Blue Dog Cafe.

For dinner I agree with the others recommendations. I will also throw out Charlie G's, Jolie's, and Pamplona

I agree with everything posted, but not sure about kingbob's.
Social is my #1 pick for Dinner but Bread and Circus Provisions is probably pretty close. Pamplona isn't a bad choice either.
Saturday brunch, if an option, Jefferson Street Pub downtown. Or again, Bread and Circus (I love this place)

Good luck and report back.

Oh and Saint Street Inn is a cool little place for dinner too

If you want casual, BJ's is a solid little dive for a slice of pizza. I know they have po'boys, but I've only ever gotten the pizza and it's fantastic, similar to Fleur de lis in Baton Rouge. Judice Inn makes a very good, albeit simple burger (but still no fries).

If you want something a little nicer, you can't go wrong with Cafe de Amis. I last had the pleasure of going there before Festival Acadiene last year and that fish almandine was one of the best seafood dishes I've ever had. It's a great honey-hole in Breaux Bridge. In my opinion, it's Lafayette's version of Roberto's River Road.

I should have stated I like the Cafe des Amis rec.
I've actually never been to BJ's but that's because I always hear mixed reviews on it.
I love Judice Inn. I can't disagree with it. But most people that aren't from Lafayette, typically, don't enjoy it. At least in my experience.
I however would eat it everyday over most burger places.

My SO's family loves the place and gets a bunch of pizza's every time I go into town with them. We almost all eat a whole pizza per person. They're addictive.

Socials tight. Boudin kolaches are on point. Solid old fashion too.
