1. John Gilliam's 94-yard kickoff return for a TD against the Rams on the very FIRST play for the Saints....surely an event which will never be duplicated by another team.

2. Tom Dempsey's 63-yard NFL-record-breaking field goal to beat the Lions.

I call BS. Prove that. Because an ABC Poll (liberal) doesn't speak for most americans. I'd rather it come to a vote than letting the politicians decide.

I cannot "prove" it to you. I sincerely doubt that your prejudice will allow you to accept that "most americans" preferred Obama to Romney even though we actually had an election to decide that very issue.
Also, I'm being attacked as if I'm some far-out weirdo because I support gay marriage. I've got news for you...MOST Americans support gay marriage:
"Some 58 percent of Americans now say gay and lesbian couples should be allowed to get married, up from a low of 32 percent of registered voters just nine years ago in the Post/ABC poll."

I'm only on page three of this thread so far, but this douche has already made me want to stop reading. Has anyone RA'd this lover of the male starfish?

I really don't understand all the personal vitriol directed at me. I agree with two all-time great Saints, Scott Fujita and Steve Gleason (and with a lesser Saint, Scott Shanle). By your logic, are Fujita and Gleason "lovers of the male starfish"?
Honestly, I'm trying to understand your thought process.

Isn't Chris Kluwe a fudge packer?

Why do you simpletons think that every person who supports equal rights for gay people is gay?

"Kluwe and his wife Isabel had their first daughter in July 2008, and their second in 2010. He also wrote a blog named "Out of Bounds," which appeared on the website of the St. Paul Pioneer Press until 2012."
CPA'S are stupid, vile, creatures!

Just kidding, my mistake...I thought you were making some implication about lawyers and mouths.

Pussywillows informed me of my mistake. No worries.
I come here to discuss the Saints. So, I'm done with this. Good luck all.
"You've never met Mouth obviously. Why you think he has that username? It was earned. (so I heard)?"

Yes, my law degree from a top-ten law school was earned. What is your point?
"Religious threads are banned on this site arse face penis butt."

Chad cloaked his bigotry by falsely invoking the name of my Lord.

As to your "theology" do you follow the Gospels in the least?

"I don't discuss such matters with penis in male butt supporters."

Pathetic...you disgrace Christians...and thinking, honest humans.
Lol...so Jesus failed in delivering his complete message?

I am a Christian. I do not follow the Old Testament. If you do...do you eat shellfish and pork?
You think that I am gay because I object to people lying as to what Jesus said?
From Chad504Boy

"unless you're a practicing christian and believe in Jesus Christ and all that good book stuff."

In my Bible, Jesus said NOTHING about homosexuality. Do you have a different Bible? Please enlighten me as to what Jesus said about the subject. If you can't find anything, then please quit using the name of my Lord to justify your bigotry.

Ummmm...also, you ARE aware of the Lord's teachings against being judgmental, aren't you?

Good for them. It's ridiculous that people get so afraid of having gays in the league

Completely agree. Why are straight men interested in another man's sexuality?
Why does Fujita have to get something out of it? Can't someone just support something because they think that is right?
Thanks for posting this Famous.

I agree with you. No one is saying that the holding on the punt changed the outcome of the game. Given the rules, it WAS a smart play by the Ravens to hold.

I just do not understand how one can believe in the "integrity of the game," when officials ignore obvious penalties.

As for Phil Simms' idiotic comment about the fourth down play being a "good no call," if Crabtree were pushing off (in addition to the obvious defensive holding), then there should have been off-setting penalties.

And now we find out the voice in the phone was Ronaiah's cousin, Tino, a chick.

How do we know that those were recordings from Te'o's phone? How do we know that those recordings weren't made after Deadspin broke the story? Why would the Post rely on the word of unnamed sources?

Sick that this whole fiasco started because "journalists" failed to do basic fact-checking...and STILL new versions come out without basic fact-checking.
Agree.

For instance, b/c ESPN had decided that Craig James (despite the 5 dead hookers...) was a good guy, that Mike Leach must have been a bad guy. It wasn't until last week that I found out that none of James' allegations about Leach were true. Of course, I learned that from a source other than ESPN.

I resent being told how to "feel" about somebody or something. Please just give me the facts.

My only interest in this story is as an illustration of how manipulative the media is. I just watched the Couric interview. I am convinced that it was a pre-arranged whitewash (of course...why else would Te'O have agreed to it?).

While it might have sounded as if Couric were being tough on him, she missed some obvious opportunities to verify---or to demolish---the assertion that Te'O was the "victim." For instance, Te'O said that he had let the mother of one of his friends talk to "Lennay." An even mildy-skilled interviewer would have asked: "What is your friend's name, and may we call his/her mother right now to verify that discussion."

Also, Couric implicitly supported Te'O-as-victim by playing recordings that were "of Lennay." Did Couric do anything to determine how old the recordings were...how do we know that the recordings weren't made after Deadspin broke the story? Why would Te'O have saved messages on his phone from his girlfriend with whom he (allegedly) spoke every day?

As with Bountygategate, some actual journalism could have divulged the truth about this story long ago. Of course, "actual journalism" is not committed very often by corporate media.
10.5 wins per year over the last five (including the ONLY NFL season without a head coach) is NOT the product of a mediocre franchise.

This is an interesting time for a Saints fan to say that given the off season activities

Which Saints player was paid how much for injuring which opponent player? If you cannot answer that, then STFU.
But, Jeff Duncan works for people who---presumably---like to sell papers. Also, what about local TV and Radio? Any coverage?

Sorry for questions, I have been exiled to the Midwest.
Seriously though...does anyone have any theories as to why the NOLA press has been so negligent about this? Aside from committing actual journalism, just think how many more papers they would sell? Why don't they like money?

Thanks for posting this Blues. Sad to see this only briefly mentioned in the media...and that that mention come from a Washington newspaper. Where is the New Orleans media on this? Why did it take the Los Angeles Times to do the research to show that the rate of injuries caused by the Saints during the alleged existence of "Bountygate" did not support any allegations that the Saints were, in fact, seeking to injure other players??? "Brees was on one of the liberal channels Friday night...I bet they effed his head up." Game being shown on psychotic right-wing (redundant?) channel...maybe that's the problem.
Our offense needs to learn to tackle better.
