I adore our team and just love the defense but I am split. One one hand I would love to see a great matchup and see the gumps beat but honestly after our last encounter, I think that they have a slightly better passing/ running game under pressure. Although they need to deservingly meet again as they are the two best teams and would provide the best game of a BCS championship.

Seeing how Furman ran over 200 yards with the option, hell yeah bring them on. I would love to see a 20 point victory in the Dome and see all of the butthurt Gumps reaction after the game. The excuse of this being a home game for LSU will be hysterical being that we not only beat them at BDS, but also in NOLA.

One thing is for sure, whatever worked last time won't work this time for either team. I wouldn't at all be shocked to see a 24-20 type score this time around. They for sure won't be as tight.

To answer your question, absolutely I want the rematch. Think about the rewards of winning that game. We beat them in baseball in 97 for the national title, we have a chance to beat them in football for the title. That is a dream that even OSU/Michigan has never gotten to live.

4LSU2 obviously meant to write Ga. Southern, who did in fact put up those numbers on Bama.

I believe in the old statement that "If you want to be the best, then you have to beat the best", and Bama is the second best team out there right now.

I know, I know, we have already beaten them. But how wonderful to not only beat them, but to beat them twice in one year for a National Championship.

What a wonderful era to be an LSU fan....

Enjoy the hell out of it folks

Correct.
But Georgia southern did rush for 300+ vs bama with primarily option. This must have been what he meant

no...proves nothing....why give Bama another chance?....already lost to LSU....ok, they play, Bama wins. Does that make them NCs? ....no....another game should be played....best 2 out of 3.......Bama wins its a tie.......

I want them again simply because the team, their coach, their fans and several idiotic media pundits seem to think bama won that game and was the better team. Reminds me of UGA 2003, they were claiming the same shite all season then got stomped in Atlanta. How sweet it would be to stomp bama in the rematch!

I don't think a rematch with Bama is good for college football. I would prefer playing the best team we have not already played for the NC. If we win out and the system gives us Alabama I would relish the idea of beating Bama in the NC game. Nothing could be sweeter.

NO,

We are at a disadvantage.
It is harder to beat a team a second time, also
they have everything to win, nothing to lose, if they were to win we would be 1-1 with them, yet they would have the Title.

It is not a smart move.

I'm not afraid of Bama and HELL yes I would welcome a rematch but its bullshite that they lose at home to us and they still get in. That's the part I'm having issues with, the system is rewarding a freakin loser. We have to beat a great team twice when they have to beat AU sit and rest then beat us once n they're champs. That's just not right.
