Our Dline is slightly better than theirs, and their Oline is better than ours.

Since the net resultant defenses are about the same overall, and the special teams are likely to be a wash, the game could come down to which team is able to grind out the running game the best. Since the RB's are about a wash also, that points to the Oline.

I think we find a way to win at Bama to make it 5 of the last 6 years we win at their place, but we need to find a way to more than offset their Oline play. I watched them twice this year and they look exceptional.

Best analogy I've heard so far on LSU/Bama is fist fight in a phone booth.

Our big edge over Bama right now is special teams. Our punt game could be a big factor.

We need to limit big plays by their O and keep it close and let T-Rex do what he does and force a gigantic turnover. IN TYRANN WE BELIEVE!

After watching Trent Richarson several times, I can't in good conscience say that the running backs are a wash. He's the best I've seen this year - even better than Mark Ingram was.

Uh no. Pretty sure we get the overall advantage there. In a game where the field position battle is going to be of utmost importance, Brad Wing is going to be huge.

I'm just about there too. I've never seen someone so small, thick & fast all at the same time. You can't knock him off balance at all. It's like he was bred to be a RB. I have no idea how the frick our LBs are suppose to tackle that guy.

Stick to playing with your rockets!

Bama's punting game is their achilles heel, with a huge advantage to LSU in the field position game after the 3 and outs each offense will post ... not to mention that LSU can rip one off for a long return

... I can almost "SMELL" a huge TYREX return in the big game

yea, i agree. our OL has had injuries; LG out for season and then several guys nicked up. we have had to move guys around a lot and it shows. we need t-bob back; he's the guy that can play multiple positions w/o much interuption.

might want to focus on florida, tenn, and auburn, who will all possibly be in the top 25 when lsu plays them.

You have no idea if their OLINE is better...Florida held richardson in check until they wore down.

I love all the comparisons...funny how they rarely ever play out in the games.....the last two years LSU has had a bad offense, and alabama suppose to have a great defense...yet lsu moved the ball well both years......

so all of this means nothing.

The first guy doesn't tackle him. And when he is going down, his leg strength gets him another two yards. Not saying that we can't limit his yards, just that slowing him down will be our biggest challenge of the year. Our linebackers will need to step it up. Look at the number of tackles our DB's have this season. If it ends up Richardson vs. our DB's, the advantage goes to Bama.

In fairness, they have played one good defense...and he was held in check until the florida D wore down. You guys try and make too much of something all the time. LSU is great against the run with the push they get upfront. Relax.

same questioning was done against oregon too...lsu backs dominated. LSU will have as much success running as alabama.....they feature one back mostly....18-25 carries a game...if Ware did that, he would have just as many yards as richardson...if not more.

BTW....your "boy" will likely get some runs too...so that surely offsets things.....

When LSU beats bama...you jj loving negatigers will be scarace for a few weeks until you come back with a "new" threat for lsu...always the same.......

I think our DLine is more than slightly better, and certainly deeper down to the 3rd guy playing at the various spots. Likewise, I think our secondary starters are slightly better and we are deeper in the secondary. Bama's biggest advantage is at linebacker. This game will be primarily won or lost by the battle between RBs against LBers. Their #1 RB is better than our #1 RB, our RB corps is better than their corps. We'll see.

I also think we have a special teams advantage, but a rather slight one.

How anyone can say otherwise is retarded. Bama's LB crew is likely the strength of their defense.

I have watched every BAMA game. I don't think their OLine is better than LSU's. Trent Richardson makes them look better than they are. I really like Ware and Ford. But Richardson might be the best in America. RB and LB are the only places I believe the BAMA is better than LSU.

Hope we are practicing/preparing tackling for Trent Richardson now. Takes 3 defenders to bring him down.
