Will LSU be more motivated than Alabama?

Alabama has a lot of motivation to win, obviously, but I'll be surprised if they're as enthusiastic as LSU will be.
They haven't beaten a really good team yet, and even though they played Ole Miss fairly well, I think you lose something by going that long without playing a quality team even if they'd won.
I also think it's an advantage to want to get the other team back. I think this helped Miss. St. and Auburn against us.
I think they got a really good game against Tennessee, while they didn't play a great game themselves, for similar reasons.

Bama is in position to play for a national championship. They will be plenty motivated not to let that slip away.
LSU should be equally motivated to show the college football world they are legit.
If either team fails to show up Saturday it won't because they had nothing to play for.

Though arguable, we are both in position to play for the NC.
Their route is easier and more favorable.
I still say that if we win out, irrelevant of the record, we will be in the NC game..no longer a math formula.
We must win out to create the buzz

That's a bold prediction. I don't believe winning out alone does the trick. There has to be other considerations taking place as well.

Is that even quantifiable? Short answer, yes, Alabama will be just as motivated to beat LSU as LSU will be to beat Alabama.
1. It's their last road test of the season
2. Losing in the competitive SECW is not ideal
3. They played a 2 loss, good but not great, LSU team last season and went nuts after winning the game. That was coming off win over LSU in 2012.
Motivation, crown noise, revenge, etc. won't mean shite. The team that executes better will win the game.

I tried to get that across at the beginning. I know mentally they understand it's an important game and the result can have huge ramifications.
I just wonder if the emotions will be at the same level, and that does affect who wins games, especially in college football.
When we lost the two games in 2007, I don't think it was because we didn't try hard enough or that we didn't know they were important games to win. I think both teams were motivated to play up to our level, and we didn't do a good job of matching their enthusiasm.

Bama will be sky high coming in here... They have a better shot at the NC/playoff than LSU has. And Saban ALWAYS has his team ready when they come to Baton Rouge...

This
As long as it's the same team that scores the most points, but that's not what I'm getting at.

They will be. I don't see either team having a motivation advantage in this game. Both have a great deal to play for on Saturday.

They had a much better shot in 2008, and we took them to overtime. I think we can do better than the Jarrett Lee pick 6 team did and actually win a close game like that though.
Even if we lose this one, I don't believe we're going 3-5 in the SEC this year.

How so???? If Bama wins out THEY will be at least #2 seed.............

I meant 2007. 7 and 11 sound similar, we went to NC game both years.

And if they'd won out in 2008, they would have been the #1 seed.
It's not always easy to be the "hunted" team, which we should know from recent years.

Alabama has to still play #1 Miss St and #3 Aurburn - this game can't be as big for them as it is for us. This could play to our favor.

Depends on how the team responds going TO Arkie... Night game there is no fun at all with the weather and a HUNGRY Arkie team that will be looking for its 1st SEC win in two years...

This makes ZERO sense...... They HAVE to win this game for the other games to really mean anything to them.........

Lose to LSU and those other two games aren't nearly as important to a team with NC aspirations.

+1....we will be motivate to prevent our rival from making it to the ship.
