re: Remington Model 742 30-06

I have this exact rifle. It was was uncle’s. I figure it is over 50 years old. I hunted with it for years and harvested many nice deer with it. I no longer deer hunt. Only waterfowl and upland game now. I had no problems at all with this rifle as long as you keep it clean. As you know, the bolt turns, so it can fail if not kept clean. So enjoy this family heirloom and safe hunting.

We have two Baltimore Orioles that have been here for about two weeks. They nest in a pecan tree. This is the second year they have used the same nest.
Is this the Lake Chicot outside or Ville Platte?
Or the Lake Chicot in Lake Village, Ar?

Jefferson Ocean and ice
Tailgated for many years. You need a setup that runs off of propane. By far the best. I used a double burner setup from camp chef. High flow burners you can even fry fish on. Also, there are a ton of accessories you can get. Single or double cast iron griddles, grills etc. Excellent for breakfast. Pancakes and all. Also for fajitas. Blackened steaks etc. you can’t go wrong with it. Plus the legs are removable and you can get a carrying case to store it neatly away in your rv.

Fried spec and shrimp étouffée. With all the rest of the tailgate side dishes.
Agree. Start Newman. He's done what it takes. Start eades later.
I live in Arkansas, so I hear it a lot. I have a standard response. "Well, I guess everyone can't have good taste." Usually that ends it.

CST on Direct TV

Posted by Png2core on 4/10/13 at 11:24 am
I called direct tv just to complain about cst not being available. Just to try and voice that there really are a whole lot of people that are pissed because we can't watch the games. The representative I talked to said he had never received a call requesting cst before. That may be true but there is plenty of proof that this has been going on a few years. Not sure if it would help at all but if you have direct tv and want cst call them and raise hell. 1-800-347-3288. They only understand $. Threaten to change to dish.

Very true. Good point.

Hogs era is impressive

Posted by Png2core on 4/7/13 at 5:35 pm
In a vacuum. While I agree their era is impressive(as of 3/31 it's 1.68). Probably a little lower now. LSU era is 2.47 from the same chart. This putting the hogs at an advantage of 0.79 runs allowed per 9 innings. Also on the same NCAA website was a table of the highest average scores in the NCAA. LSU averages 7.0 runs per 9 innings(will be higher after this weekend). The hogs weren't listed. Didn't make the top 50. I added up their scores and divided by number of games and came up with an average score of 5.78. Which gives LSU and advantage of 1.22 runs per game. So 1.22-0.79=0.43 That's a 0.43 run per game advantage to LSU per nine innings. So Hogs quit bragging on the one stat that you lead in when era alone doesn't win games.

Lake village, Ark
53 degrees at sunrise
Pitblind in rice field
At end of hunt its over 60 degrees
Also we end up with 22 ducks
9 greenheads
4 pintail
3 gadwall
1 wigeon
1 teal
4 spoons
Bo Wallace asks the dam tour guide where can he get some dam bait.
I have a lease in rice fields in Ar Kansas. Just now seeing new ducks coming down. With the preseason high prediction of birds I figure that we just have to get some weather up north and push them down. Really hoping the last of the season will make up for a mediocre beginning.

re: Help Eradicating Moles

Posted by Png2core on 1/3/12 at 5:25 pm to
I had a huge problem with moles in the past. Even worse I have three labs digging for them and tearing up the yard. As mentioned by a previous poster, you have to get rid of their food source---grubs. I use spectracide granules. Wal mart sells it. I also mix a bag of over and out that is year long treatment for fire ants. I apply this three times a year. (so much for year long treatment) In the spring, mid summer, and in the fall. Never have read where this is an acceptable mixture, but have used it for years and it works. Spectracide is in a reddish orange 20 lb bags. No moles in my yard for years. Good luck.
It's Monday morning quarterback on hogville.com. It's delusional city. Hilarious reads.
