I need one! It would be amazing if I could get my hands on one. We had one killed at our camp that the cape was ruined on the drag back.
re: Sofa material recommendations- wwyd

We got ours wrapped in SUNBRELLA fabric. Its a fabric used for outdoors, comfortable and easy to clean. There is LIST on their website that shows how to get all stains out of the fabric which is pretty helpful. Some stains are even removed by bleach which will not discolor the fabric. Its pretty amazing stuff. We have a dog, cat and 2 kids.
Also, I second the recommendation of getting removable cushions. It makes it 10xs easier to clean, and you can simply turn them around to the clean side when company comes over if you did not have time to clean them.
ETA: Do not get feather cushions... You will be picking up feathers for as long as you own the couch.

re: Need advise on refinishing front doors

I do mine once a year. The first time, I took them off along with all of the hardware and did the same thing you described. I used 2 coats of MAN O'WAR Spar Varnish. It is a pretty strong coating, If your doors get a lot of sun, then i recommend you put a third coat, and just lightly sand and add another coat or 2 each year. I did not get a chance to do them last year, so they have to be taken down again this spring. My doors are made of Spanish Moss. Here is link to the varnish. Spar Varnish
The spar varnish is designed for direct sunlight. Being that it is for the spar of a sailing vessel which gets put through some pretty harsh conditions, I think it is one of the best varnishes out there to use. Hope this helps.

re: GMC Canyon thoughts?

I'd pick a Frontier or a Tacoma over a Canyon. The Frontiers are going to be more fitting for his budget, and they are great trucks. I owned a 2013 Frontier and had it for 3 years before trading up for a Sierra. The only reason I traded was because I needed a full size truck. Other than the size and the fuel economy, it was my absolute favorite vehicle.
All in all, you cant go wrong with any of them, its just finding one in your price range... That's going to be the hard part.

re: Thinking of BFG All Terrains, other options?
Posted by CGTigerfan on 10/15/18 at 8:29 am to weagle99
Im running the Toyo AT2 275/65/r20, and they are quiet and a smooth ride. Other options are the GY Wrangler Duratrac and the Falken WildPeak. All good reviews, just depends on how much you want to spend.
IMO, the Duratrac looks the best, and it also has a pretty aggressive sidewall for an A/T tire.

Stoeger M3000 or M3500 depending on if you want to shoot 3" or 3.5" shells. I have had the M3000 for 2 years now and have not had one problem with it. Just like any other gun, make sure you clean it regularly. I hunt over brackish water, so it gets cleaned pretty much after every hunt.

And if you want to know where all you have been over the past many years, just go to google maps and under menu select "your timeline"

We all know that Google and FB store a ton of information about us, but the data they store can really go into detail. A guy named Dylan Curran wrote up a piece on what all Google actually stores on you. If you want to have a glimpse of what they store go to my activity If you want to download the files you can go to takeout
Here is a LINK to one of the articles written about it.
Some may not want to look this stuff up while at work.

Do the new trucks still have that AFM garbage?
The 2019's have done away with the traditional AFM that you are used to. Now they call it dynamic valve or something stupid like that... It will now go into any variation of cylinders from only using 1 to using all 8 and anything in between. I honestly dont know how I feel about it especially when they could never master the AFM V4 to V8 lifter issue.
re: the most embarrassed you’ve ever been
Posted by CGTigerfan on 3/27/18 at 2:13 pm to Hawgnsincebirth55
I was about 12 years old when my brother and I along with our uncle (all 2 years apart from each other) went night fishing at a pier at the end of a long dirt road in a small town. It was about 1AM and the bubble guts hit me. I decided to go to the other side of the pier and hang my arse over the ledge of the handrail. At the same moment, 3 police cars pull into the parking lot and all 3 shine their spot light on me and proceed to laugh. All I could do was sit there and wave with embarrassment.
re: Lawn Weed Advice

I spray on the weeds and about 2 to 3 feet around them. As they die off and I find more in other places that I missed, then I just spot check them.

Spectracide Weed Stop works really well. If the weeds are in large spots you need to spray them then remove them by hand once they are dead. If they are in small spots, then they will die off and not come back without having to go back and pull them. I get the concentrated formula and mix it with my 2 gallon sprayer then go to work.
