Used to work at Morris Bart. They hire a lot of young lawyers at around 70k and work them to death. Then there's several auditors that just sit around and look through their software at the case files and notes for mistakes. They do have a million dollar club dinner for all the lawyers that bring in a million in settlements in a year. If you stay long enough and move up you can make 200+, but most people move on before that point.

The firm would spend 15k a week just on FedEx to sign up old folks that couldn't figure out DocuSign . And their marketing budget 5 years ago was 40 million+...
I looked at LSU's baseball roster online and picked a random player since they list their exact birthdays and used my own email address and it worked

I was a greenskeeper at New Orleans Country Club for a summer, the super told me the annual budget was 1.6 million, and this was in 2016 with most guys making 11 dollars an hour. Tough job, any time it rained heavily half the crew would be fixing the 99 bunkers most of the next day.

Check out the Champions area near 1960 and 249, has a northshore feel to it. I find Katy and places without tons of trees bleak and depressing, not to mention the awful commute.

Only had it for a few months before i stopped smoking. I liked how simple it was though.
He spent almost an hour talking about why he fired her on the Anthony Cumia episode. In short, he thought she wasn't really pulling her weight when it came to coming up with bits, doing improv on the show, adding anything during live shows. He also sensed that she wasn't a huge fan of his, never read his books or watched his tv show, never invited him to anything outside of work, was reluctant to associate her podcast with his name or chip in on the patent troll fight.

Great Christmas movie, and one of my favorite movies ever. Love the tense vibe and the soundtrack.

That's a pretty meaningless suspension, they open up back in time for rush and the spring semester is much busier/better anyway. Basically they are suspended for 3 weeks and maybe lose out an a Christmas party or date function or two.

re: Comedians and stealing material

Those three comedians are all extremely well-respected. I don't think it is joke stealing at all, but an example of a concept called parallel thought. For example, when they were trying to build the border fence, dozens of comedians all had the same thought/joke that they would hire Mexicans to build the fence. Or after something big happens on twitter, literally thousands of people will make the same exact joke separately from each other.

Mencia, on the other hand, went to open-mics in Los Angeles and sat in the back with a notepad with the sole intention of stealing material. Other comedians would refuse to do their act if he was in the room.

I agree that the administration should not be handling this stuff because there is a natural conflict between helping the student and wanting to protect the image of the university you love/work for if at all possible. There should be some sort of third-party sexual assault office at all universities to deal with this stuff.

I'm amazed that some frat bro could somehow convince six other dudes to violently rape a chick. That frat probably had the softest pledge process of any, the worst those pledges had to do was go to Chipotle for the actives. The sheer probability of this event is staggering, that this dude pitched this idea to six other guys and they all said sure, or if he pitched it to other guys they didn't say or do anything to stop it, or that all three of her "friends" let her down. Really a shame if even any part of this story is remotely true.

What's stunning is that she called three friends to pick her up after she got raped, and supposedly all three advised her to not go to the hospital so they would not be ostracized socially. Crazy.

Those dudes at Phi Psi were always huge cheesedicks. They would take pledge classes of 50 kids, when every other frat would take 15 at most. Not surprising that a Patrick Bateman or two slipped in. I don't know how they would have pledges during the first week of school in the fall, because rush is in the spring there, and if they would take a fall pledge class it would be at least a month into the semester. I just wish that chick would have gone to the hospital after being violently gang raped and beaten up and the dudes could have gotten arrested. I talked with the counselor in the article when i was on academic probation before, feel really bad for her getting dragged through the mud.

Why would you choose to live in Shreveport for 4 years if you don't have to?
