re: Upset pick(s)

Only
Upset I want:

Beatdown
administered
by the
young men from Norman.

University of
Georgia...
Laughable.
Y'all desrved that win.
The
ultimate
blame should
be bestowed on the
yokel in charge.

re: Tebow Looks Timid this year

He's
every OC's dream.

Lately
only he and Percy contribute on
offense, and there's not much faith in the
kicker...
so there you go.

Gonna get worse if
a running game doesn't materialize,
you can count on that.

re: Vandy v Auburn

Another
unbelievable
ballgame...Vandy is
better than they've been
in a half-century and
everybody in Nashville is
setting their GPS receivers for a trip to Atlanta.

Win and
it becomes more likley...but I would
not bet the house on it.
While Lee
has had success, "best freshman QB
ever" will
not be earned just by beating Florida.

Definitely an
outstanding idea!

It'll be
the best present she gets...

re: In honor of Urban Meyer

Coach
Urban looked
Mighty pissed.

Scalp massages
upset the
cocky little
kiss-arse.
So sad.
Outstanding history
lesson from a
devoted Tiger fan...
Your worried...
everyone
should calm down and trust Les.

Sucks to be
him
in
this case...

Simply put,
Terrance Toliver is an
unbelievable talent who will
do great things as a Tiger!
The Razorbacks
have talent at almost
every position year-in and year-out,
yet they’ve failed to make the leap to being a top-tier program.

Still, they’ve managed to
upset LSU several times of late, last year almost
costing the Tigers a shot at the title by
KO-ing them in triple overtime.

All I’m
saying is they
should do better…

re: BCS champs again???

Posted by Acrostic Juan on 7/14/08 at 6:05 am to
I wouldn't bet the house, but I do think we have as good a shot as any team in the top 10-15.

Different story if we get Bradford-esque play from
our young QB and decent coverage from our CBs...LOOK OUT!

Let your daughter

Undoubtedly you already know the answer.

If you add ND to the Big X, they are probably right near the SEC in total players.

Why in the hell would you do that? You're either in a conference or your not.

Maybe you and I are reading this thread differently, but one of the best points in this thread was that Auburn got screwed in 1983, and not necessarily in 2004.

That’s a very good point, and it’s the
one I should have
used instead of the 2004 reference. But still, it's
championships won that matter…not close calls and screw jobs.
Hell…one could argue 2006 Auburn cost LSU a shot at the championship that year, but
everyone knows that argument...and all the others...fall short.

Any knowledgeable college football fan that is not clueless knows that AU has been the better team for the last quarter century. 25 years and counting. As for a college football fan that doesn't know this, who cares, they are ignorant and don't know much about college football if they haven't been paying any attention for over 25 years.

Any knowledgeable college football fan that is not clueless knows that Auburn
University – over the last 25 years and counting – has won zero National Championships.

So I’m sure it sucks that even though they’ve not played better ball of late, the team in
Tuscaloosa has earned one more title than AU during the period you’ve cited.
I know what’s next: 2004, and how a team that didn’t
Lose a game in Southeastern Conference play – or for the entire season – was
Left out of the hunt in favor of a Sooner squad that didn’t belong in the title game.

Sucks to be you, I’ll concede that point…but back to mine:
Until the Tigers of Auburn win another national championship in
College football (the one from 1958 is a bit dusty),
Keep that Aubbie pride in check and see what everyone else outside of Auburn
Sees: the team that embodies football in your state wears Crimson. Period.
