And the crows left me presents a few times over the years. The best was the spinal fragment of what I think was either a squirrel or cottontail rabbit...

I have this little family of birds I've been feeding for a few years. They are foragers so I know they're not dependent on my food to survive.

Still, as sappy as it seems, I'll be sad when I don't see them every day.

It brought great joy to my life to feed them every day.
