Does it ever occur to Ole Miss fans the blatant disrespect that their current head coach must feel from this entire thing? Their entire fan base claims to hate LK, but simultaneously have created such a spectacle this upcoming weekend that extra safety precautions are having to be made to insure everyone remains as safe as possible from how Ole Miss fans choose to express their rage that he left. On some level, Golding has to see this for what it is and be offended by it to some extent. Imagine the reaction down the road if Lane hires him on his staff in BR.

If LSU gets the ball to start and can put up 7, I feel like the pressure of being down right away in such an intense matchup where they have to know that we are the better team and realizing they have to play from behind against our Defense will get in their heads. The adrenaline their players have from the crowd will be watered down and reality will set in. It goes without saying but Leavitt has to protect the ball and avoid a turnover. After seeing how he started vs La Tech, that should be our main concern.

Which situation looks more like a lack of institutional control? The coach who is actively calling on an entire fan base to insight violence or a coach making a clear joke with a true statement.

My rationale side is to say wow we looked great, but at the end of the day it only counts for 1 win and we have a long and difficult road ahead. Don’t over react.

My impulsive side is thinking that college football has NEVER had a team comprised of such a fast paced prolific offense capable of putting up points in a hurry combined with such a stingy/ravid defense that LSU is famous for having. When you take into account the only real remaining true home field advantage that is literally hell on earth for opponents when it gets rocking + the 40 million dollars or so in top tier talent…

I've convinced myself that we are unstoppable. Or at the very least have a very realistic chance of it. What side of the fence do y’all fall on at the moment?

Was that the goal in this whole thing for Jayden’s legacy to be diminished into 20/30/40 years down the road from Jayden’s camp? I sure hope that this whole thing wasn’t a bluff on their part because man oh man did they not receive good advice. This isn’t Arizona State. We love JD5 and everything that he did, but stripping away his name, image, and likeness away only hurts him long term as he won’t be recognized the way that he would have been otherwise. LSU will just replace his photo in the QB room with another shortly. The loss is truly his when he can’t take his children to the facility some day and look back on all of his accomplishments. Maybe reread the OP but slower this time. No one called for the backup to start anywhere in what was posted. Simply put, we apparently have an ultra talented backup for the future that is intriguing to look forward to. This is an LSU football message board, right? If talking about our backup QB bothers you that much then maybe sign on to Pinterest and go build a DIY bench or something…

I share your hopeful optimism, but I seem to remember Nuss widely considered to be a possible #1 overall draft pick and thinking we were going into the season with the most solidified QB in the SEC.

If one thing is for sure, it’s that nothing is for sure.
