re: Clemson @ LSU 26’ opener

No doubt in my mind that LK will love nothing more than playing to the crowd and fan base by running it up if given the opportunity. His style, smugness, F U mentally, might be the best fit coach LSU has ever seen. Buckle up, it’s about to be fun. We ridin’
He would definitely be drafted within the first 5 rounds, but due to his injury this year his draft stock wouldn’t nearly be what it will be if he plays another year @ LSU injury free and crushes. He’ll be back.

Clemson @ LSU 26’ opener

Will be ELECTRIC! Lane has experienced how unmatched tiger stadium can be, but this will be his first experience on the sideline of the good guys. And no doubt it will be rockin’. The fan base will have a rejuvenated sense that we are back along with that LSU swagger that has been missing since 2019. I sense that this will be the first night that Lane has a moment where he thinks to himself “I made the right decision. This is what I came here for”. Can’t wait!

At this point he could probably come out and say he’ll make a final decision after the playoffs are done and a lot of you would say okay and then preach “patience” to anyone with balls that says enough is enough. At that point I would hope that he resigns with OM just to show how soft some of you are.

No, some of you are acting like giant cucks for a coach who hasn’t proved he can actually win anything. LSU has no idea if he will even come and at this point we are risking our recruiting cycle just for a chance to be his #1 option. Grow a pair!! This whole thing has gotten ridiculous.

Until he stays.
At some point is coaching the remainder of the season what you want more than taking the LSU job? Find out. LSU won’t do it bc they have all their eggs in his basket but I would publicly give him a deadline. If you don’t sign then good luck. This whole thing is beyond ridiculous at this point

Enough is enough

Understandable that he would like to coach OM the remainder of the season, BUT this has turned into a complete circus at LSU’s expense. Is losing the LSU job worth losing over this? I say it’s about time to find out. Sign the contract or enjoy getting bounced in the 2nd round of the playoffs and regretting you let the opportunity pass you by. Time to have a backbone! LSU has never publicly put their necks and reputation on the line this far to woo a coach into being here. Enough is enough. I wanted Kiffin to be here from the very beginning but I would not be upset at all if they came out and said they are pulling the offer. Time to have some self respect.

When you’re getting paid $90 million+, I’m sure he realizes expectations. If he resigns @ Ole Miss, I’m sure it wouldn’t be all rainbows there either with consistent mediocrity after this circus he put them through

Facts are facts

Posted by SimmaDown337 on 11/28/25 at 3:21 pm
Kiffin looked uneasy and torn as the clock ran out and he jogged to midfield, because he is smart enough to know the difference between having a great Ole Miss team this year vs the juggernaut that he can turn LSU into. I’m sure that it is emotional coaching this somewhat Cinderella team to your (& their) first playoff appearance. He realizes that a playoff birth here would be the norm if he gets behind the wheels of this sleeping giant

We’d all hope for that to be the case, but the only fact is that you have no idea.

Sexton

Posted by SimmaDown337 on 11/26/25 at 1:38 pm
How much do you think he is coordinating Lane’s decisions as far as going on the Pat Mcafee show, how he answers questions, what he tweets etc.?
A lot of that seems like it would depend on if even knows where Lane is going. So at this point right now if Lane is truly undecided, how much do you think he involves Sexton on his thoughts as it seems like his job is pretty much done as far as the numbers on the contracts

At the end of the day

Posted by SimmaDown337 on 11/21/25 at 8:42 pm
This is LSU. We’ve bent over backwards to show Lane how much we want him. If he decides not to come here then it’s his loss and it will be someone’s dream job!! We are the sleeping giant in all of this. I’m over stressing about if he will sign, if he won’t sign, if it’ll be more theatrics etc etc. If he wants to be the man that’s behind this arse kicking monster machine in purple & gold in Death Valley on Saturday’s nights then let’s ride!! If not, then keep it moving bc all he is is Tiger Bait

Ummm..the team that he’s leaving for someone else (reportedly) to coach in the playoff?

Stop it. You can’t sell that he’s doing it bc he cares about his team as if all of this doesn’t have any effect on them and their entire preparation

What does Kiffin gain?

Posted by SimmaDown337 on 11/21/25 at 4:48 pm
What in the world could LK gain from coaching the egg bowl rather than just making his announcement today?

If Ole Miss wins the game, but he announces that he’s leaving…he’ll be enemy #1 in Oxford.

If Ole Miss loses the game, then he announces he’s leaving…he’ll be blamed as the distraction that caused the loss and he will be enemy #1 in Oxford.

If he announces that he is staying, then why would you put the players, fans, administrators, and everyone else through this circus in the first place?

There is no making sense of it.

Is it possible that he fully intends to coach Ole Miss through the playoff unless they take action and remove him as head coach? In that scenario would've just told Keith Carter that he would make a decision after the egg bowl, but in reality what if it goes up there and saying something like “great win, I’m under contract as the head coach of Ole Miss and I’m looking forward to the playoff”. What could they realistically do? Fire him bc he didn’t sign an extension that you wanted him to? Think about it. Ole Miss would most definitely be so angry that he’s continue this that they would remove him in some fashion to keep their word. Kiffin can then move along while claiming that he never wanted to leave in some form or fashion.

He’s so unpredictable that I’m not sure anyone truly has a pulse on this thing until the signed papers are in hand.

If that were the case, I doubt Ole Miss would have given him a deadline…
How do you go back to your team when they are now very aware that you just left them with your family to tour UF and now LSU very publicly. Unless he signs their extension before Ole Miss practices again, I can’t see how it’s anything but over for his time there.
I love this topic bc I truly enjoy hearing ppl’s opinions unbiasedly. To me, it holds a similar fascination as the question of how the pyramids were built. Nobody knows unequivocally.

But here’s my question as someone who is 100% on the fence with this debate and could sway one way or the other. I went to a catholic high school and still never was given a definitive answer on this:

If everyone believes in science bc science can be proven fact and it doesn’t care about your feelings regardless of your beliefs, then how can the scientific explanation of how the world was created along with evolutionary details/descriptions/time charts be WRONG simply bc the church tells you to believe otherwise. So to believe in God, one must disbelieve science? I’m confused.

Where I’m from, you must play rec ball in order to even be on the “all-star” team. Other places may differ. While I do see the point you’re trying to make…that’s just life man. As a kid, I doubt my parents could have afforded to keep up with it regardless of if I wanted to play or not.

While I agree with you on the expensive aspect, how is it a “problem” when travel ball is optional? There is nothing wrong with kids that play only rec ball. If they choose to join a travel ball type team then who cares is my point lol. Why would someone care what other ppl do and how much they pay for it
