re: What is Daniels memorable game?

Unfortunately for him, the game of chicken that he just played with LSU and lost will probably end up being his most memorable game.

In my best Draymond Green voice:

“They don’t love you like that!!
Chasing that Joe Burrow fairwell tour,
They don’t love you like that!!”

Was that the goal in this whole thing for Jayden’s legacy to be diminished into 20/30/40 years down the road from Jayden’s camp? I sure hope that this whole thing wasn’t a bluff on their part because man oh man did they not receive good advice. This isn’t Arizona State. We love JD5 and everything that he did, but stripping away his name, image, and likeness away only hurts him long term as he won’t be recognized the way that he would have been otherwise. LSU will just replace his photo in the QB room with another shortly. The loss is truly his when he can’t take his children to the facility some day and look back on all of his accomplishments. Hate to see it play out like this, but good riddance. We ridin’

But it was much more than being excited about Longstreet in ‘27 or being thankful he’s here in case Leavett gets hurt. It reads like you think he’s better than Leavett.

Funny. This reads like one of those overly emotional and assuming texts that a wife sends her husband about not loving her anymore all bc he told the lady cutting his hair good morning.

What are you even babbling about. I read about half of what you typed until it was just too much of a chore to continue. Does it matter if I think he’s better than Leavett? Even if I did, I wouldn’t need to tiptoe around that in order to satisfy you. I was just asking how the guy was looking, Chief.

Who had August 9th as the first date a ranter would call for the back up QB to start in the pool?

Maybe reread the OP but slower this time. No one called for the backup to start anywhere in what was posted. Simply put, we apparently have an ultra talented backup for the future that is intriguing to look forward to. This is an LSU football message board, right? If talking about our backup QB bothers you that much then maybe sign on to Pinterest and go build a DIY bench or something…

And exactly what he said. Nuss got injured. If Nuss was healthy all season, we would have had the best QB situation in the SEC. Or among the best anyway.

Definitely not the best. Nuss would’ve been hard pressed to out perform the seasons that Chambliss, Marcel Reed, or Diego Pavia had last year whether he was healthy or not. Nothing against him, I just personally thought that he was overhyped from the jump. It’s nice that SL and probably the majority of our QB’s going forward will be a running threat under Kiffin. Nuss was a sitting duck in the pocket similar to what we had with Mettenberger. I trusted Mett a lot more throwing the ball as well.
I share your hopeful optimism, but I seem to remember Nuss widely considered to be a possible #1 overall draft pick and thinking we were going into the season with the most solidified QB in the SEC.

If one thing is for sure, it’s that nothing is for sure.
With so much talk around Leavitt and wonder about how he’ll look returning from his injury, Longstreet seems to get lost in the shuffle. Personally, I’m intrigued by him and what Kiffin can turn him into down the road. He may end up in the captains chair steering the ship for us at some point this season due to injury or just poor QB play from SL. Kiffin didn’t steal a 5 star recruit from under Lincoln Riley’s nose to simply ride the bench at LSU. Guy is a stud and I suspect that we’ll see more of him this year than most believe.

Tennessee/Ole Miss

Posted by SimmaDown337 on 7/20/26 at 10:05 pm
The way Josh Heupel came out of left field with his response about Kiffin and LSU is so desperate and out of touch that all you can do is laugh. They want to insert themselves into being relevant so bad that they somehow try to steal some of the Ole Miss/Lane drama onto themselves. The Ole Miss hate, I understand. It’s fresh and the hate is real. Tennessee was never a contender the way OM was last year and it’s been how long since Lane left that garbage program in the rear view?? Que the Conor McGregor “Who the F is that guy??” when Heupel started talking tough. Both hilarious and sad at the same time. Don’t you just love that LSU stays on their mind this much? I sure do. Lmao oh shoot not the TE coach.

Yeah and that’s about the equivalency of saying the lady at the front desk answering the phones at my doctors office is gonna start doing the surgeries if the Dr. calls in sick.

It’s gotta hurt!

Demond Williams, Berry, TreDez, Jayce Brown…in Kiffin’s scheme & essentially his entire offensive staff from OM.

While Chambliss & Lacy have to play under a completely foreign and unknown system.

Hope the OM fans enjoy the last little bit of this run, bc they will be punching at air if they aren’t already with the Demond rumors.

No doubt in my mind that LK will love nothing more than playing to the crowd and fan base by running it up if given the opportunity. His style, smugness, F U mentally, might be the best fit coach LSU has ever seen. Buckle up, it’s about to be fun. We ridin’
He would definitely be drafted within the first 5 rounds, but due to his injury this year his draft stock wouldn’t nearly be what it will be if he plays another year @ LSU injury free and crushes. He’ll be back.

Clemson @ LSU 26’ opener

Will be ELECTRIC! Lane has experienced how unmatched tiger stadium can be, but this will be his first experience on the sideline of the good guys. And no doubt it will be rockin’. The fan base will have a rejuvenated sense that we are back along with that LSU swagger that has been missing since 2019. I sense that this will be the first night that Lane has a moment where he thinks to himself “I made the right decision. This is what I came here for”. Can’t wait!

At this point he could probably come out and say he’ll make a final decision after the playoffs are done and a lot of you would say okay and then preach “patience” to anyone with balls that says enough is enough. At that point I would hope that he resigns with OM just to show how soft some of you are.

No, some of you are acting like giant cucks for a coach who hasn’t proved he can actually win anything. LSU has no idea if he will even come and at this point we are risking our recruiting cycle just for a chance to be his #1 option. Grow a pair!! This whole thing has gotten ridiculous.

Until he stays.
At some point is coaching the remainder of the season what you want more than taking the LSU job? Find out. LSU won’t do it bc they have all their eggs in his basket but I would publicly give him a deadline. If you don’t sign then good luck. This whole thing is beyond ridiculous at this point
