They came from the hills
to the land of the Tiger
seeking gridiron thrills
in the land of the Tiger
The hopes and the dreams
powered wild rebel screams
that day on the field of the Tiger.
:nana:
And the travelling throng
was liquored up so strong
On bootleg white lightning
that day on the field of the Tiger

Armanti Edwards, they would say
would be the great hero this day
In the land on the field of the Tiger
:nana: :nana: :nana: :nana:
Kickoff came, in the heat and the rain
Armanti ran left, and then he ran right
That day on the field of the Tiger
Armanti's OL could not spare his pain
The GREAT TIGER DEFENSE was his plight
That day on the field of the Tiger
Halftime came, the score shone clear
Those hopes and dreams did disappear
The appholes would not rise again
Armanti's out, they've taped his shin
That day in the land of the Tiger
:wah: :wah: :wah:
They played on pride, Armanti gave em a cheer
That whole long second half on the side lines
Tigers tore 'em up and down and showed no fear
Not listening to any of the Apphole whines
:banghead:
Please Tigers, don't run up the score,
At halftime it was nil to twenty-four
and now it's up to an embarrassing forty-two
if it goes over fifty, what on earth will we do
They cried that day in the land on the field of the Tiger
:wah: :wah: :wah: :wah: :wah: :wah: :wah:
When the final gun cracked
They knew they were whacked
That day on the field of the Tiger
Nil to the Appholes, 52 to the Tiger
to the land of the Tiger
seeking gridiron thrills
in the land of the Tiger
The hopes and the dreams
powered wild rebel screams
that day on the field of the Tiger.

That's pretty good poetry. I thought the only good poetry had to start with "There was a man from Nantucket..."

If you knew the rest of that limerick you would know that it has to start "There once was a man from Nantucket..."

I'll make sure the OL sees this poem. We all know what "should" happen; and we all know what "can" happen. I can't wait. Thanks for the motivation.

And I thought you didn't respect us? Now we have an "Ode"...I am so honored. To think you took the time to do this for us...I am humbled.

Ramah that is pretty good work...I admire your efforts and skill...While you get a B for the grammar sadly you fail miserably for content...
F/B...And I still think you are dumber than a box of rocks if you think that will be the margin on the score...

Dumber than a box of rocks ... one of my personal favorites ... and oft used by me.
My odes are legendary ... In 2003, we posted the "Ode to Heisman White" that foretold the vicious assault and victory of a Tiger Defense over an overrated QB with a bullseye on his carcass ... A Defense that shall remain forever among the great Tiger Defenses ... My score prediction and the heroes foretold came to pass that day ... our first NC this decade.
A top 5 Virginia Tech team rolled in here last year EARLY ... against a healthy LSU defense.
LSU 45 ... Virginia Tech & a distraught Beamer ZERO ... and I am dumber than a box of rocks
Apphole, you better get a good whiff of what you're shoveling here.
You're coming into the land of THE BEAST
And he's hungry!
Dumber than a box of rocks ... THIS TIGER DEFENSE IS THE GREATEST EVER TO TAKE THE FIELD AT LSU ... Only History awaits us!

Virginia Tech had a terrible offense at beginning of the year in 07.....the offense only scored 10 against East Carolina in Blacksburg the week before you played them!!
Please...new rule, you can not brag about beating a team that squeaked by a mid level USA team at home.

What's the site for the App forums? I need to go over there and educate some folks on how to take a loss.

DOC ... my bad ... I'm absolutely wrong on this one good catch ... LSU 45, Miss. St Zero
We beat Beamer & Company 48-7
I get those two "back-bayou arse whoopins" of early 2007 cornfused ... It's been a systemic problem I have of late due to my dietary failure ... I have failed to ingest ENOUGH corndogs in the last month to have continuity of thoughts and OTHER THINGS ... I must digress ...
THE POINT:
LSU opens the season like a Category 5 hurricane on defense. Even with multiple substitutions, there can be only 1 way and with a single word to describe the punishment to opposing offenses ...
Withering

Oh, I agree with you.
Just about every Miles-led team, with enough time to be fully rested DESTROYS teams.
Opening games
Bowl games

Well frick, that does it, now they'll have a fire under their asses and have their way with the best D-Line in the nation, we are fricked!
The sooner you numb nuts learn this isn't the so called Big House and a shitty Meechigan team this time around the better you'll enjoy the trip despite the brutal arse whipping you're sure to get.

Ok, Towel Boy ... you go tell the OL they in for an arse whoopin ... on National TV
