Basically Shawn Bradley with decent handles. He looks so awkward out there.
Go Jags!!! My undergrad alma mater. My senior year in 2000, ULOL won in the Sun Belt Championship on a last second shot. Vindication time.

I really think our AD hates baseball. He gave Jewett 6 full seasons to run the program into the ground and couldn’t be bothered to do an actual coaching search for his replacement

Didn't he shut down the baseball program at Northern Iowa before coming to Tulane?
The P12 with WASU and OSU would absorb the high end schools from the MWC and AAC. Schools like Fresno, SDSU, Boise, etc would join with SMU, Tulane, Memphis, UTSA, etc.

09/16 - at Southern Miss
09/23 - Nicholls

The Ole Miss game is pivotal if they want to be the frontrunner for the NY6 bid at the Peach Bowl this upcoming season.

Did you watch the Cotton Bowl? If you did you know the answer is yes. In a P5 conference we would average more than many P5s do now including Duke, Wake, Vandy, and just about all of the B12 and Pac Whatever teams.

I agree. The fans will come to watch P5 teams on a regular basis, especially if they keep winning in football and basketball.

The PAC is such a dumpster fire that it might actually be better for SMU and Tulane to stay put for the time being

Not really an option short-term or long-term. AACUSA is a poor option and it's better for both teams to even move to a mixture of PAC-12/MWC teams if possible.

Are we really comparing the Dallas and New Orleans markets?

Not just the markets, but recruiting area, recent big success, and academics.

I could be wrong but I think Tulane probably missed out on the Big XII. They’re not going to be looking G5 the next go around.

I agree. This Cotton Bowl probably came two years too late. But if SMU is going to get invited to the PAC-12, it opens up an opportunity for the Wave with their recent success, current market/recruiting area, and academics.

That's gonna be brutal travel for everything except football.

Would make a lot more sense to do Big XII. Louisiana is contiguous, New Orleans is perceived as a destination, the XII would gain a recruiting pipeline in a talent rich state, and the university presidents would like adding a top 40 academic institution.

Big 12 would make more sense, but that current ship sailed a couple of years ago. Big 12 is looking at Western expansion. That's why the PAC-12 is looking to add San Diego St and SMU to improve their chances at getting a new TV deal.
Obvious answer is yes to both, but the real question is should Big 12 pursue either or. ULL isn't realistic yet nor is any Sun Belt school at this time.

The Big 12 is currently scoping out PAC-12 schools so Tulane isn't on their radar yet, but if they can make another NY6 game and keep improving in basketball, it won't hurt their chances.
