For my job, I have to go there around mid 3rd week in May. I'll be there for til the end of June. I won't be in the field but maybe a third of the time. So that gives me a lot of office time (9-5).

The rest of the time, I'll be close to the 4th Ward. What is there to do near there? I'm not going to bother with a rental car but plan to just make use of uber/lyft (my "company" is paying for it).

NASCAR Hall of Fame wouldn't be too far (between South Brevard and South Caldwell near 277). It's an interesting walkthrough with some interactive exhibits (you can try out different out stop activities like changing a tire or drive a race simulator based on the iRacing platform).

Charlotte Knights (White Sox AAA club) aren't too far away either.

Alexander Michael's is a great neighborhood tavern located in the 4th ward. If I were staying there for work that would become my local watering hole.
