I am completely excited about this move. We have been dreaming about this move, ever since he left the club.
At last, the prodigal son returns for the last dance. Let's hope for the best.
But we need reinforcement in the midfield. A CDM would be a greater addition to the squad. Fred is a box-to-box type. Scott could be used as one, but only from time to time. Matic is a pure CDM breed, again he is getting tired. He cant play 90 mins week in week out.

Also, one thing that troubles me is the VAR. At times VAR is killing the game. I will never agree 100% with the usage of VAR in the game. I am not against using technology in football and in any other sports.

With sensors, GPS trackers, and computer vision algorithms to track how players and the ball travel, the amount of data available in football has expanded in recent years. Despite this, machine learning and AI services (Artificial Intelligence) are only now being used in sports to gain insights and make judgments. With this in mind, researchers from DeepMind and Liverpool Football Club (LFC) released an article in the Journal of Artificial Intelligence Research examining the use of AI in football.

DeepMind's research intends to use AI services to assist teams detect patterns in data by combining computer vision, statistical learning, and game theory. This is due to the importance of interactive and sequential decision making in sports (both cooperative and competitive), where game theory plays a role; solutions to specific in-game situations, where statistical analysis and machine learning predictions can help; and image and video inputs that can easily track and recognize game scenarios.

I wish to see one more signing before the closure of the transfer window. Preferably a CDM.

Matic needs a companion. He is getting old. I don't have any doubt about his ability, but he can't play the whole 90 mins week in week out.
