Also, has anyone received a scholarship from band, other than the automatic $1,000. Thanks in advance.

re: Has anyone dealt with a family member with a gambling addiction problem?
Posted by Stacey A on 8/4/21 at 9:31 pm to LoneStar23
A gambling addiction ruined my mother's life for many years. One day I found a phone number for Gambler's Anonymous. It literally saved her life. Please give them a call
Why so mean? I hope your day gets better

Crawfish 101
Posted by Stacey A on 4/25/21 at 8:34 pm
Please help an old girl out. I have questions about buying crawfish. What kind do they have besides Belle River? Which are the best? Do places that sell live crawfish have different origins to pick from, or do you just ask what kind they have that day and take it or leave it? And finally, do they come in different sizes, like if I only wanted to buy large ones, or do you only get a mixture of sizes in each sack? Thank you everyone in advance!

re: Kidney Stones suck
Posted by Stacey A on 4/18/21 at 10:12 pm to Mr. Misanthrope
Ive actually done/had all three of these. I had a 10 lb 6 oz baby with epidural at 7 cm, had emergency surgery for my gallbladder, and passed a kidney stone last year I would say they are all comparable in terms of the pain I felt. With the kidney stone, they gave me morphine. No help. Then they gave me more morphine. Still no relief. Finally they gave me Toradol. That worked! I wish they would have just given me that first

re: Derek Chauvin trial - GUILTY ON ALL CHARGES. Update: His sentencing is today

I could only watch the first two days of the trial. Can someone please explain, in a nutshell, what Chauvin's defense is? Did his attorney bring up the fact that we are seeing videos from a different viewpoint than Chauvin experienced? He didn't see what the people on the sidewalk saw, ie Floyd's facial expressions. He was only seeing the back or side of his head. Also, curious if the possibility of temporary insanity would have been a way to go? Chauvin's eyes and facial expression looked a little off. Almost like he was in a confused trance for a couple minutes.

You can always call the Louisiana Contractor Licensing Board and file a complaint. They do a great job of getting things resolved.
I'm just worried because where I am now, in Jefferson Parish, we use them on every build. I am super sensitive when I am in a house that has a lean, even if it is very slight. I don't want to feel any lean in my new house. It is going to be two stories. But it sure would be nice to save that $30,000 and use it towards buying the lumber! As far as a post tension slab, I know those make the slab stronger, but I don't see how that would stop it from tilting in the future? Thanks for the information

I'm actually going to be contracting it myself. I'm hoping to stay around $140 a sq ft?
Building house in Prairieville. Y'all use pilings out here?
Posted by Stacey A on 4/6/21 at 8:52 pm
Hello. I am going to be building a house within the next six months. I do not want the house to tilt at all, now or in the future. . I'm just wondering if anyone ever uses pilings in Ascension when building?
