I feel your pain, as I battle this almost daily. I get suicidal easily.

First look into therapy. Treat that shite like a lawyer after you just committed murder-be as open and honest as possible. Second, talk to a psychiatrist. They can administer a series of tests to try and pin down a specific diagnosis, then treat with meds if necessary. It’s helpful if you can do both in one clinic.

Finally, look to see if tms if available in your area. That and meditation have helped me more than medication. It’s expensive though. In MS insurance only covers it for “severe depression “.

Watermelon is brutal. It’s a cucumber’s first cousin. It smells like that nasty shite and tastes like a gritty cucumber with seeds in it. Both are terrible.

re: Where were you on 9/11/01?

In my apartment at ole miss my junior year. I was nursing a hangover and my then girlfriend (now wife) called me in a tizzy. I turned on the tv just in time to see the 2nd impact. I’ll forever remember that awful day.

Silver lining-politics took a back seat for an extended time, and the news/media was very watchable.

I got a tristar viper in .20 with a pistol style red dot. I shoot an Indian river choke with federal tss. I don’t shoot them across the field so I’m not sure the effectiveness at something ridiculous like 60 yards, but they don’t flop at 40.

Best of all it’s very light, I can carry it all day (and have multiple times) without fatigue. I would absolutely recommend it.
Carrot.

You can configure it to be almost identical to dark sky (that was my favorite too).

I switched to browning 3 years ago and couldn’t be happier. I have 4 cell cams, 6 standard cameras. All still work perfectly. Trigger is stupid fast. Video is good (though admittedly I don’t use video often).

Buy them (or any camera) at trailcampro.com
2 years from date of purchase no question asked replacement of equal or lesser value. I’ve used it several times when I was running spypointes (I know). It’s legit. Hope this is helpful.

re: Depression

I feel compelled to reply, as I’ve walked a mile in those shoes. I was diagnosed bipolar 2 in my 20s. I’ve taken just about every medication out there (to be fair, I finally found the right mixture of mood stabilizer and anti depressant, and still take them currently).

The posters above are spot on. I’ve found that I’m happy giving my time and talents to others. I’m a good cook, so I started a free breakfast ministry at my church, and you would not believe the joy it brings me. Your purpose in life doesn’t have to be fit for a movie. I’ve found that lower income people relying on me to help them get from week to week is a worthy purpose. Plus, I’ve made some good friends I never would’ve made prior to this.

TLDR-sometimes looking outside of your 10 foot cone holds your answers.

re: Question regarding muscle loss

Posted by Eyesinweasel on 12/8/21 at 8:20 am to
I very much appreciate y’all’s input, I don’t post much but read frequently, y’all’s input helped me change my life.

Sorry, I was trying to not put up a wall of text in op, I’ll clear up some things:
Yes, I am getting stronger.
Yes, when I do inbody tests, everything is as duplicated as possible re workout timing, eating, time of day, urination etc before tests.
I’ll generalize daily work out-both types, 5 days a week, alternate the type of workout, cycle with above average intensity for 30 mins.

Weights, full body, only lift “heavy” once a month, I’m getting older. Usually work about 60% of max, 3 sets of 8-15 reps. Generally exercises are bench, tow, shrugs, curls, tri extensions, reverse lunges, Romanian one leg split squat, calf raises. Usually mix in some alternate, but that’s the basics. Worth noting, I have back problems so I avoid dead lifts and traditional squats.

Body weight day-these numbers are averages-300 push-ups, 120 pull ups, 300 air squats, calf raises, box jumps. Usually incorporate rings, bands and the like. This workout varies a bit, but the above is typical.

My goal was to lose weight and look/feel better, I’m there. Now I want to be lean fit and strong. I’m talk and skinny, like a WR build, not a DE build. I’ll never be super strong links benching 450 pounds. I want to stay below 10% BF.

Bottom line, I guess it freaked me out to see a loss of 5 muscle pounds. While I am getting stronger, and I gave good definition, I don’t want to lose hard earned muscle for stupid reasons. Again THANK YALL, I very much listen to what I read here.

Question regarding muscle loss

Posted by Eyesinweasel on 12/8/21 at 7:11 am
Quick summation: was about 245 a year and a half ago (I’m 6,4”, 42 years old), pretty athletic frame with a lot of fat on it. Started counting calories, macros, etc. I do the I body tests every 6 weeks or so (not perfect I know, at least it’s a consistent guide). My peak, in my opinion, was about 6-8 weeks ago, was 210ish, with 9.3 % BF. I went yesterday, I’m down to 202, but lost 5 lbs of muscle, and BF is up to 10.2%.

I’m in calorie deficit until 3:00 or so, eat a big supper, usually average day per week is 1500 calorie deficit. My macros average 30/30/40. I’m getting on avg 200 G protein a day. I keep sugar under 45 g a day. I exercise full body 5x a week doing 30 minutes of bike followed by an hour of weight lifting or body weight exercises for an hour (I alternate days, lift mon body weight tue etc). I feel like im going backwards now.

What’s the word guys? Not eating enough, working too hard? Help me out. Tyia.
Don’t wait, go to the doctor and get some suppositories, if you’re chummy with him he’ll probably call it in without a visit. Make sure you get refills so you’re covered for the future. It’s not worth putting yourself through five days of hell while hoping it clears up.
My 13 year old has proven she cannot be trusted independently with her phone. It’s more of time issues and self control over content, though there’s a few tv-ma shows trickling into her Netflix. What say ye embattled parents of teenagers.

Also, I’ve taken it away, it does no good. It’s essential for school, like it or not.

Edit: sorry, got iOS

re: Big Kuiu sale

Forloh-100% American. It’s as pricey as kuiu, but American. I love my pieces I have.
Forloh

100% American, and really great stuff. I switched this year and love it. Pricey, but American (Montana).
First outdoor board post, thank y’all in advance for your input.
I haven’t bought a new bow since 2009, and I’m way behind on the new technology and brand innovations. I’m of moderate/average skill, I usually don’t hunt further than 45 yards or so. I’m a bigger guy, so I have a longer lop and draw weight, if that factors in. All hunting is stands or blinds. I’m not married to any brand (currently shooting a Hoyt carbon matrix). Would like to be around $1500 all in (sights rest and everything).

re: Anyone from Greenville, Ms?

Posted by Eyesinweasel on 6/7/21 at 12:22 pm to
I’m from indianola, about a 30 minute drive east. I haven’t been to Greenville in a couple of years, but the remaining friends I have down there say it’s gotten pretty rough. I’d double down on staying in Cleveland at the new hotel, as there’s way more to do there, albeit still not much. Does is overrated to me. If I had to pick only 1 place to eat I’d go to lillo’s in Leland. Nola in indianola used to be awesome when chuck had it, I assume it’s still good. Most museums have been mentioned, but I’ll add to ms outdoor museum in Leland if you’re an outdoorsy baw. An awesome hole in the wall lunch stop is fratesis grocery, also in Leland. If you know anyone there with a boat lake Washington is producing some crappie, or at least it was until all this rain hit. Apart from that, we used to crack a brew and ride gravel roads and pontificate.
Wellbutrin 300 and 1200 Lithium daily. I too am 40. I’m bipolar 2 so it’s more stabilizing than perking up. It took me several years to get my mixture right, so I’ve tried a lot of antidepressants. My most common side effect was lack of sex drive/performance issues. I never had any serious side effects. Most of those horror stories you read are people that don’t need to be on antidepressants in the first place. Hope you are able to figure out all of your angles.

re: Buying a new truck

Posted by Eyesinweasel on 8/18/20 at 12:04 pm to
Tundra. Just bought one last year. My previous tundra was an 04, traded w 214k and change miles. Had been to the shop once (alternator). Got a good price on the trade. It won’t blow cold air up your hole(s), but it cranks and gets you to point B every time. Also, it doesn’t have that stupid feature that kills the truck every time you stop.

That’s hard to even read. I’m so sorry for you. I will indeed pray for y’all, and may you and your family find some peace in all of this.

Yes, it absolutely works, with a caveat: I’ve never dealt with ptsd, I’m bp2. I’ve been through a lot of antidepressants, and Wellbutrin sr 150 in combination w lithium is my magic recipe. I hope it works for you.
