Mychal Kendricks? Muhammad Wilkerson?

Why would they engage in trade talks, negotiate, etc to give a HIGHER pick this year?

To get Loomis to agree to refrain from matching their offer sheet, which otherwise he might.

If they really take a qb it would indicate to me that Brees has probably let let them know how much longer he plans to play.

Jindal's running mate in 2016, book it.
You know what drives me batshit crazy these days? Nobody knows what constitutes a goddamn catch anymore. If it's AT ALL a "close call" you might as well flip a coin.

Sometimes it's okay for the ball to skip off the turf as long as the player has both hands on the ball, sometimes if it touches a blade of grass it's incomplete.

Sometimes it's incomplete because the player loses control of the ball AFTER HE'S ALREADY DOWN BY RULE because his knee or butt or whatever has already hit the ground, but he didn't "maintain control all the way to the ground" past the point where he's already down. Other times, not so much.

The "football move." Might as well flip a coin on whether it's gonna be a fumble or an incomplete pass or even a completed pass with the receiver down by contact before the ball comes out (so much for "maintaining control all the way to the ground." )

I know that it's a game of inches and in real time the action is super fast and all that. There are always going to be plays that legitimately "could go either way" because it's just that damn close. But there are way too many of them these days, it's like any catch/no-catch call that isn't completely obvious ends up being a "judgment call" and there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to the way they're called. Even on review.
Kendyl. fricking. Jacox.

And as far as I'm concerned, it's not even close.

Didn't want to play in Tiger Stadium, didn't want to come back to NOLA, didn't want THE TEAM to come back to NOLA. Pronounced the city dead, claimed the air wasn't safe to breathe, said nobody in his right mind would move back. Etc. frick that douche.

Thanks blues. Always appreciate it when somebody thinks moosedenied doesn't completely suck.

I've never posted much, but I've been checking TD out pretty much daily for a long time. You guys crack my arse up.

Yeah, absolutely, entertainment > insight. I don't claim to be any kind of football expert or anything like that. I'm just a Saints fan. My only goal is to amuse myself, and to put something out there that's actually different. By the time anybody stumbles over to my place, we've all already read the same news and "analysis" 1000 times at 1000 different web sites. I don't see any point in just regurgitating ESPN/the T-P/etc. like a lot of other blogs do.

Anyway, 'preciate the mention, and thanks for reading my silly shite.

Dan: I was at that game. So now that you're in Ohio, will you be an Ohio State football fan?

stupid question imo

Patrick clearly already knew what kind of answer Shaq would give to that question, and intentionally set Shaq up to show LSU some love. That's where Patrick wanted to steer the conversation for a minute. It's a standard "good radio" type of thing. And, as this thread exemplifies, it works.
Those people fought and died for your right to unclinch your arse cheeks for a half a second and quit sweating little shite like common analogies.

NEVER, EVER call an athlete who's performing really well "on fire" because FIREMEN DIE EVERY DAY!!!!

BAN THE SONG "Working In A Coal Mine"!!!!

What's up, Cosmo?

Yeah. It still happened.
Not presumptuous. Speculative. You can't ask euphoric fans to wait 6 to 8 weeks to separate them from their money. You've got to strike while the iron is hot, which means having merchandise on hand just in case. Texas-themed merchants are doing it too. So does everybody else. It has nothing to do with presumption of victory. It's about making money, nothing more, nothing less.

With all due respect, WIN OR DIE.

The "overdoing it" is really just repeating for the sake of people who haven't been watching every single minute of every single game, which is a substantial portion of the audience. You and I have heard it 100 times because we're paying close attention to every minute of it.

Funny thing though, I'm sick of it too, but I'm sick of hearing how unbelievably fast and athletic he is, not the part about how he needs to learn baseball. I mean, it's true, but if they didn't say "Carl Crawford" 10 time a game, I'd swear that he was Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, Rickey Henderson, Willie Mays and Hank Aaron all rolled into one.
If the Texas player had been on the ball, he'd have said "Yeah, on your johnson."

But noooo.

fricking dimwitted texans.
