re: The Real Fear of $15/hr Min Wage
Posted by Tigerfan6969 on 1/17/21 at 10:50 am to Fastcat
When was the last time federal minimum wage was increased, 2006? And each time before that the same argument is made - small business will die.
Well we haven't seen an increase since then but prices keep going up, so maybe it's not just wages that cause inflation.
The whole idea is increase minimum wage, let prices and business adjust, and then keep increasing it incrementally. The whole function of minimum wage is to keep businesses responding to inflation pushed by the fed reserve and globalization.
Otherwise big business will raise prices and continue to automate anyway, without any change to the pay

re: What evidence did the democrats present today that Trump incited a riot?

Does that apply to democrats, including Biden & Kamala visiting with protesters last summer where as soon as the democrats left the rioters began trying to burn down federal courthouses?
Are democrats responsible for the riots since they encouraged and supported the rioters?
YES

It's a good thing the technology hasn't been invented yet to listen to someone talk at another location, because how else would it be possible for someone standing at the Capitol to also be listening to a speaker in another location???

If someone speaks to a large crowd and then that large crowd immediately invades a federal building, one can safely assume the speaker had something to do with it.
re: Our nation use to kill Communists; Why did we ever stop?
Posted by Tigerfan6969 on 1/11/21 at 7:51 am to TheeRealCarolina
Yes all the old Bond films were always against communist USSR. No one really liked soviets. Killing nazis used to be pretty fashionable too they were universally despised bad guys but I'm not sure where we are on that either.

Yea for real, what does trump possibly have to say right now?
"I'm packing my bags will be off to Florida, it's been nice"
Hold a press conference in the morning if there's anything important for americans to hear, such as how it's going arresting those terrorists from the recent insurrection

Invasion of privacy should be unconstitutional. When satellite image facial recognition starts letting strangers on the internet Google your name to see if you're in your home watching tv or out for a walk we will wish this was everywhere

re: What percentage of the public will buy the relentless media onslaught against DJT?
Posted by Tigerfan6969 on 9/9/20 at 3:18 pm to WhitewaterDawg
Probably 80 percent of all people. I see a lot of folks on TD buy into the false narrative that riots are happening everywhere. Sure, not Trump's fault, but the media twists the arm on both sides. Use your eyes look around your community to see what's real, not something going on in liberal elite cities.
Now corona changed things, that has impacted everyone. Thats the easiest bait out there- can't be Trump's fault if it's happening in Europe or china.

re: Mail-In Voting Would be fine if...
Posted by Tigerfan6969 on 9/9/20 at 3:10 pm to LSU0358
Voters are not automatically registered to vote just by existing. Registration option occurs alongside receiving a driver's license at which ownership of a valid ID is guaranteed. This is true of red and blue states.
The only problem comes with mailing ballots to registered voters but the voter is no longer at the address. Signatures are matched with the DMV signature and ballots are rejected if the signature doesn't match. If someone forges a signature of a registered voters that is clear cut voter fraud.
States don't just mail ballots blindly they use county voter registration rolls to do this.

At that point you gun them down in the streets. Place the bodies on display and make an example of the treason.
If you thought the left was unhinged... The rhetoric in this thread is completely mental.
Just read this shite, mass graves? Bodies in the street? Does this even remotely make sense? Seriously, this is exactly the type of violent rhetoric that gets the national guard called in to smack down anyone murdering Americans en masse, regardless if you call yourself on the right or left
