Building a boat slip(s)

How many standard boat slips should I be able to build across 40ft? I am talking about slips you would see in Shellbeach,Hopedale, etc. Thanks.

I want to buy the kids new life vests. Any recommendations? I am looking for somewhat of a minimal design that they can wear while fishing. They weigh around 100lbs. Thanks.

I am going to be around the League City, TX area this week. Are there any places I should not miss? I am looking for casual spots, as we will have the kids. Willing to ride into the surrounding areas as well. Any suggestions on things to do would be appreciated also. Thanks.
