Samsung ks8000 series, just purchased, looking for calibration settings

Just purchased online, going to pick up at bestbuy later today. The price dropped back down again to $1500 (on Amazon too) for those waiting for the drop.
Anyway, I know there are several owners on the board and I'm wondering if you can post a link to good picture calibration settings, and any other advice you have about this model.
UPDATE: Here's a super helpful thread on avsforum.com for the ks8000/ks8500 with links to calibrations and general information.

Did you try the settings recommended by rting?

Been watching the price, thanks for the update. I watched it creep up after thanksgiving a figured it wouldn't drop back down until Super Bowl week. Guess I was wrong

Yeah Same here. Thought I missed the window, happy to not have to wait until super bowl sale.

I've looked at the site numerous times and never noticed the "settings" tab.
Thanks for the heads up. Will definitely try their settings.

curved or flat?
why or why not?
why or why not?

Spent a few hours yesterday trying to learn the ins & outs of the TV. REally impressed so far. No bleeding that the other poster mentioned with my unit...so far. I bought the 65" and trying to carry the box in without help was a pain in the arse, as was actually sliding the frame out of the box.
Upgraded my Netflix account to the UHD option. The shows that feature ultra high definition look amazing. I'm in the middle of watching The OA. Looks fantastic.
Amazon has a good amount of UHD shows/movies as well. Can't wait to watch Season 2 of The Man in High Castle.
NEGATIVES: Only thing i've noticed so far is that the ethernet connection of the TV is only capable of like 50-60 mbps? Is this correct? My isp plan is for 200 mbps, and while i haven't had problems with buffering for UHD content with built in apps like netflix, amazon, youtube, I am having issues on some 4k content i have on my plex server. When trying to stream the 4k content on the native Plex App for samsung some of my 4k content buffers. Any solutions? Will I just need to basically buy a set-top box capable of 4k content that allows up to gigabit speeds (amazon fire, nvidia shield, roku)? Also, there are significant Apps missing from Samsung's platform it appears. Watchespn, MaxGo, PBS, and a few others I watch a lot of. So adding some sort of Set-top box will likely be a necessity anyway. I was hoping to be able to get rid of the extra cords and just use the native apps built in to the Samsung platform.
Any solutions to casting maxGo and other apps from my iphone to the samsung tv like i was able to with my appletv?

how are the "ads" that people are complaining about ?
Going pick up 65" tomorrow.

I have this same TV and didn't notice they were "ads" until someone on here was talking about them. Not enough of a hindrance to prevent buying it. Hope you enjoy!

Curves are for idiots or people with no friends.

True, since your friends would have that side angle view

thanks. so the side viewing angle is not an issue?

where did you purchase?

yeah i posted in the thread about the ads too, and that i was against it. but tbh it's really not an issue at all, i jus wish you could delete that little section or at least move it to the end of your apps so you don't have to see it, but certainly not a deal breaker.
as for the curved vs. flat, i can't really speak to the differences other than i prefer a flat screen to a curved one aesthetically, and i might wall mount it in the future so a flatter screen might be easier to deal with. i believe they have the same specs in every other regard though, so it would simply come down to preference.

WalMart.com, just shop around and find lowest deal, oddly enough WalMart had it for like $70 cheaper than the flat version when I got mine this summer (think it was a mistake but they honored the price).
The curve is so damn sexy.

The KS9800 is the only model you will find the curved has better specs. Sadly you can only get the multi-zone full array backlighting in a curve.
