There is a lot of river water in the area;

Thats what it was like the Sunday before last all the way until Treasure Bay...straight up river water.
Every time Ive tried that it didnt go so hot..and the trashpile barge.

It was nice enough to try that on Sunday but started catching at the mouth of the bayou where it meets the bay. Caught a few out by the camp out there too.

the whole place has just be really dirty and poorly managed.

seems like that place would need a revamp at this point...TJ Moran probably made his money and got out of it or something

Most people will compare Gus with Willie Mae's anyways

Thats what it looks like with the almost tempura sort of crust.

Willie Mays is a bit overly generous with the kosher salt..

I have my boat in Hopedale and spent the last couple of weekends on wild goose chases going as far out as Christmas Camp...

caught one rat red

On one of the days it was muddy and low water

This past Sunday the water was beautiful and just a little low.

I used to catch reds out there but wondering if it's the low water or what that's handing my arse to me. I want to catch some damn reds.

We got a dozen specks in Eloi on Sunday to save face but it was picking through schools to get ones we could keep.

Maybe I'll try Lake Robin this weekend..
Hmmm I tend to cook the rice separate...cray cray

re: New york strip vs Ribeye

The marbling gives it away to ribeye but I could stand "less fat"..might have to force myself to go strip.
The chicken looks like Willie Mae's, which is a treat now and then.

Sides look like BULL. Dont come to NOLA with that bush league shee hee.

Go to McClures on Mondays for fried chicken and red beans. With the white bbq sauce.

This is crazy, this is an article today- https://nola.eater.com/maps/best-fried-chicken-new-orleans-nola
