Nah, you are correct. Given where the program was, its worse than Curley Hallman, etc.

Hallman was bad, as was Archer, but at least they were wanted by other teams.

This is much, much worse. LSU is in a different stratosphere now than it was when Curly was hired.

Yeah LSU wasn’t a top-5 job in the 80s or 90s. When we hired 0, we had one of the most appealing jobs in the nation and we went with a proven failure.

not as bad.

Hallman was a hot commodity.
no one knew at the time that Brett Favre would grow up to be Brett Favre, so Curley got the credit.

Pretty much everyone knew O was O.
and yet we still hired him.
on purpose.
and bragged about it.

You're wrong. LSU was in a much different position when they hired Curley. It's supposed to be a top 5 job now.

It's like proving the world is round. Why bother with an undeniable truth that only trolls and idiots would contest?

@TG Hollman was a worse coach (maybe) but not a worse hire. Where we are as a program and where 0 was as a coach are just different universes. Hollman at least had success as a head coach at Southern Miss.

Hallman was a decent hire on paper. In hindsight his tenure was an abortion.

Orgeron's hire was an abortion on paper...it has to go down as the worst hire in the SEC since 2000...at least. Has any SEC program hired a coach with a sub .500 career record?

You mean Miles going 7-8 in the SEC in his last 2 years and 1 game? Y'all are so fricking stupid and just keep trying to grab at any straws y'all think you can grab.

I said when he was hired that it was a mistake that will take a good decade to correct.

My only hope before was that as long as O could recruit, the next guy at least wouldn’t walk into an empty cupboard. And now O is even failing at that.

The next guy better be the right guy or we’ll all be retired before LSU football is relevant again.

he had same amount of SEC wins as head coach of USM as O did in the same amount of time as head coach of Ole Piss.

seriously.
