Didn't do squat in the surf on Friday and didn't hear many people catching on the island

OLOL Amazing Half is about as flat and easy as they come though. Great first and PR race. Plus it's pretty small

98 wouldn't work. But you do if you were a student while it was under going construction. You get a free pass for however long you were in school while construction was going on.
ETA: You still could but you'd have to pay.

Went about 3 weeks ago and slaughtered em. All we did was fish the birds. Nothing as of more recent though.

Toying with the idea of getting my dad's old winchester model 100 refinished and the barrel blued, any recommendations around the Baton Rouge area? Certainly don't mind shipping it off for quality either.

Even though it's not needed on every long run depending on distance, start experimenting. It's all about what gels/blocks work for you, and giving your body what it wants. See which one allows you to perform the best and stay the freshest.

They should've paved the levee from downtown to the Laberge. That's where all the bikers ride, however river road is currently a death wish.

Might be a little more of a haul for you, but the Belle River area has ton of options. Since as long as I can remember, I've never seen a weekend or even holiday where you couldn't do the recreational activities.

Went last weekend, didn't catch a thing. Now granted we were more enjoying some cold ones on the water than fishing hard.

Too many cold ones last night but still going to go try and catch the ultra elusive, super rare freckled trout
re: Why aren't "coastal" bass boats more popular?

My guess would be center consoles can fit and fish 4-5 people comfortably. That model not so much.

Any other form of cross training, swimming, biking, rowing, etc. will help. Plus those are no to low impact to help your legs recover
