Form 8027, Employer's Annual Information Return of Tip Income and Allocated Tips was implemented in 1982.
I am a liberal and I do not want open borders. I have never heard anyone of consequence actually support this. I am for a reasonable immigration policy. I am also for enhanced border security, but not a wall. For those non-documented immigrants already here who can verify that they can support themselves or have someone who will guarantee their support, an accelerated path to permanent resident status makes sense to me. Not citizenship, but permanent resident status.
But, the real question we should be asking is why isn't there more emphasis on making "E-Verify" mandatory for all employers. This would eliminate all but "cash under the table" employment and would bring in additional federal, state and payroll taxes.
Explain to me why "E-Verify" for all isn't the first step?
Never mind. We all know the answer.
I know this won't change any minds here, but this is the response from AOC:

"This was in fact the type of toilet we saw in the cell.

Except there was just one, and the sink portion was not functioning - @AyannaPressley smartly tried to open the faucet, and nothing came out.

So the women were told they could drink out of the bowl."
Except...that's not what the charts say:

Democrats:

22% are extremely proud
29% are very proud
33% are moderately proud
11% are only a little bit proud
5% are not at all proud

So, 84% are moderately to extremely proud.

Certainly not Republican numbers, but not 20%.

I am a Democrat and I've always been proud to be an American.

Please get your facts straight.
When Pete was still with the Hawks, they signed Dr J in the pre-season. The NBA voided the contract before the season started, but they played a few pre-season games together. In Dr J's biography, he talks about playing and practicing with Pete. He says they started playing 1-on-1 after practice for dinner and that the results were evenly split. Obvious respect for Pete. Can you imagine if we had cell phone video of those games?

I like Lanard and I think he will contribute next year if healthy. More importantly, I wish I could step on my dick.
I live in Atlanta and work with Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Tennessee, Ohio State and Michigan State fans. My son is a senior at Ga Tech.
So, this is a small sample size, but this is how each of these fans feel:
Alabama: obviously hates Auburn, but sees only LSU as a true competitive rival.
Auburn: thinks his team is over-rated and has incredible respect for LSU.
Georgia: we don't play each other frequently enough to have a true rivalry, but regards LSU as a premier SEC team.
Ohio State: has only recently felt that they were on the same level as LSU.
Michigan State: respects LSU and does not think his team is at our level.
My son grew up as an LSU fan, but he now loves Ga Tech. I asked him recently who he would root for between LSU and Ga Tech. He said, "Dad, let's be honest. Ga Tech doesn't compete on the same level as LSU".
So, just a few opinions and they may be influenced by our friendships, but, outside of the Baton Rouge "fish bowl", LSU is still regarded as a top-tier team. At least, that is my experience.
The "Top Rate on Regular Income" in 1952 and 1953 was 92%. The rate for the rest of the 50's was 91%.
I love how most of the people responding to your post have nothing to say except to direct personal insults at you.

Just remember what Socrates said:

"When the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser".
You might want to worry a little more about our "low information" fearless leader. Here is what he recently said about Lincoln: “Great president. Most people don’t even know he was a Republican. Right? Does anyone know? A lot of people don’t know that. We have to build that up a little more.” The Republican party is literally called "the party of Lincoln".
Seriously...please tell me you are not comparing children who were brought here by their parents seeking a better life to people who were violently and forcibly relocated here to endure a life of slavery.
Never realized how prescient these lyrics are:

We'll be fighting in the streets
With our children at our feet
And the morals that they worship will be gone
And the men who spurred us on
Sit in judgement of all wrong
They decide and the shotgun sings the song

I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again

The change, it had to come
We knew it all along
We were liberated from the fold, that's all
And the world looks just the same
And history ain't changed
'Cause the banners, they are flown in the next war

I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again
No, no!

I'll move myself and my family aside
If we happen to be left half alive
I'll get all my papers and smile at the sky
Though I know that the hypnotized never lie
Do ya?

There's nothing in the streets
Looks any different to me
And the slogans are replaced, by-the-bye
And the parting on the left
Are now parting on the right
And the beards have all grown longer overnight

I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again
Don't get fooled again
No, no!

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

Meet the new boss
Same as the old boss
(1) We held Ole Miss to 21 points. They had not scored less than 30 in any game this year.
(2) Our defense only gave up one legitimate touchdown. I'm not counting the 9 yard touchdown right before half.
(3) We gave up 325 yards, 77 on the first drive, 50 on the last drive. So essentially less than 200 yards after adjustments.
(4) Ole Miss had second half drives of 9, 0, 9, 12, 7, 7 and 50 (last drive when game was not in contention). This included four 3-and-outs.

(5) Over the last 3 games, our offense is averaging over 550 yards (318 rushing, 232 passing) and 42 points.
(6) In the last 3 games, we have outscored our opponents 73-7 in the second half, including second half shutouts in the last 2 games.
(7) Our offensive line is playing better, our receivers are getting open and catching everything, and even our special teams are playing well.
(8) We have the best running back in the nation, arguably the 2nd best back in the SEC, and an efficient, tough quarterback.
Until the Auburn loss this year, I was not one of those fans who was ready to replace Les Miles.
I have to admit I was wrong.
We have a 4-game gauntlet, and we still have some kinks to work out (pass interference penalties, long ball accuracy), but, for now, we have turned this season around.
This is a great time to be an LSU football fan.
Good post. Also, on those first 4 possessions, we started at our own 13, 29, 7 and 1. On that 4th possession, we started at our 1 and drove 65 yards before that "fumble". The drive from the 29, set up by a good Guice return, drove 22 yards into State territory before ending with a fumble. I wish we had pulled away in the 2nd half, but I'm encouraged by what we're seeing. If anything...and I can't believe I'm saying this...I wish we had been just a bit more conservative at times in the second half.

re: Curry versus Maravich

This from Pete Maravich's Wikipedia page:

Maravich played before the advent of the three-point line. This significant difference has raised speculation regarding just how much higher his records would be, given his long-range shooting ability and how such a component might have altered his play. Writing for ESPN.com, Bob Carter stated, "Though Maravich played before freshmen were eligible for the varsity and before the 3-point shot was established, he loved gunning from long range."[15] It has been reported that former LSU coach Dale Brown charted every shot Maravich scored and concluded that if the three-pointers were counted, Maravich's average would have totaled 57 points per game.

I'm not saying that everything on Wikipedia is correct, but it's there.

Remember, we're talking about the college 3-pt line. Maybe 13 is high, but Pete's numbers would have been much higher with the 3-pt shot.

Actually, when Dale Brown charted Pete's shots in college, he said he AVERAGED 13 shots MADE from 3-point distance. So, potentially 57 points per game. Pete only played with the NBA 3-point shot his last year with Utah and Boston. He was coming off knee surgery and did not start for either team. It is a small sample size, but he was 10 for 15 that year. So, yeah, 66.7% is fairly good! Curry is great, but Pete was the best.
44 points per game over 3 years without the 3-point shot. Averaged 40 plus as a freshman. Dale Brown charted all of his shots in college and estimated he averaged 13 3-pointers per game. So, 57 points per game average potentially. Yes, maybe defenders step out if he's taking a 3, but do you remember how well he could drive and shoot free throws (30 for 31 in 1 game). You come out on Pete and he drives right past you, so. 69 against Alabama and 68 against Walt Frazier and the Knicks, AND fouled out of that game on a bogus offensive foul with time left in the game.

What is the difference between an Alabama divorce and a tornado?

Nothing. Either way, someone is losing a trailer.
