Gymnastics is not a perfect example for your argument. It's a perfect example to show how players and personalities bring much more value to the schools. If LSU didn't have an Olivia dunne I don't think the attendance looks the same, and the bottom line on the balance sheet doesn't either. The creeps at the gymnastic meets couldn't care less what letter are on the front of the uniform.

Lol. I wish we could channel this energy into things that are actually productive. Im just going to point out that I was actually trying to have a civil conversation. I didn’t call anyone stupid or ignorant. This being a sports board I probably shouldn’t have even indulged in this discussion (although I do find it ironic that people cry to keep politics out of sports but will eagerly bring it up here). We’ll just have to agree to disagree on this because there’s no way we have a productive discussion that leads to understanding and respectful discord. I hope you have a great day and stay safe.

Why does having an underlying condition mean you deserve to die? If Covid is known to make those conditions worse, why is it okay to ignore the spread of Covid. That’s like saying it’s okay to steal from my business because we were going to go bankrupt anyway. No one would deem that acceptable.

But young healthy people can and do spread the illness. Which is where a mask definitely helps. It helps prevent the spread. You are protecting others. Why is it that in the greatest country on earth, we can’t get people to show compassion and empathy for others? We can’t get people to understand that sometimes temporary inconveniences need to happen in order to protect someone else.

Do I enjoy wearing a mask? Hell no! Do I do it to protect my family and others around me? Hell yes! Do I get triggered when someone around me is wearing a mask for my protection? Certainly not!

This is correct, but not how you think. The people using the science (I’m choosing not to put that in quotes because it’s a real thing) for other motives are the ones telling you masks don’t work.

Example: the same people on tv telling you masks are killing people actually wear masks in the office when they’re not on tv. Those same people are all triple vaccinated.

I don’t chose to say things are a conspiracy when it doesn’t agree with what I want to believe.

Correct! Why trust the science. I choose to do my own research. Scientists say based on the research there’s a blizzard coming to the northeast. Why trust this? I’ll defer to my own research. I’m definitely not going to prepare. I don’t even wear a seatbelt because my research shows that wearing a seatbelt doesn’t prevent me from getting into an accident. I’m currently suing my college institution because I feel it was unnecessary for me to learn anything about my given profession. I could’ve just turned on Fox News and become an expert.

As for my credentials, I’ve been on this earth for 32 years and I only listen to people that tell me things that fit exactly into my own world view. That should be good enough.

As a person of color that works in a predominantly white industry this pains me to say…but Wolken is WAY off here. Mel Tucker got a supreme vote of confidence from Michigan state. James Franklin as well. I kind of question his motives here. Feels a little gross.
I think it might be the opposite. Depends on where the fade is starting. If the ball is starting left of the target at fading to the target then potential outside in swing. However it’s rare to see someone with two different swing paths with just irons.

My bet is the swing is a few degrees in to out. This would explain the draw with the short irons. It’s easier to square the face with a shorter club. The fade with the longer ones is actually a push fade with the ball starting on or to the right of target. It’s harder to square the face so the ball falls to the right.

re: Spin Rate

Posted by Trophytiger07 on 2/2/21 at 5:22 am to
Spin Rate is largely a function of how you deliver the club to the ball. Typically you’ll see someone with a shallower swing spin it less than someone with a largely negative attack angle. Without seeing your numbers I’d say you are definitely in that last category.

With that being said, spin can often times be your friend. It helps minimize misses as well as keep the ball in the air. If you’re carrying your 6 iron 205 and spinning it at around 6000rpm I’d say that’s pretty ideal! My worry with the P790 and your swing speed is gapping and control. From my experience during fittings and lessons, there can be some pretty significant yardage gaps in those irons. I’ve also seen players struggle to control distances.

Ahhhh..I see what you did there.

Where to watch games in ATL??

Posted by Trophytiger07 on 9/11/15 at 3:31 pm
Gentlemen,
I'm a long time lurker, first time poster that bleeds purple and gold. Recently, someone in Atlanta thought it would be a good idea to pay me money to watch people knock around a little white ball. So here I am, in this foreign land trying to figure out where to catch the games. Any suggestions between Marietta to Alpharetta would be much appreciated.
