re: Boiled crawfish reheat

Didn't think so. That sucks. Good thing they were only $2.79/lb. still wish I could get more juice in there somehow. I honestly don't mind tougher tails. My favorite part is the juice.

Boiled crawfish reheat

Posted by schampaigne32 on 2/17/17 at 9:07 pm
So I got some crawfish they other day from Rouse's the other day, they weren't terrible but not the greatest. Very gritty & not very juicy. I know reheating crawfish is a no-no (as I would rather just eat them cold too) but they aren't juicy!! I need the juice!!! My experience from reheating in a pot with seasonings and stuff is they come out fishy kind of...but I need the juice!! Is there an expert way to do this??? Thanks!
Thanks, its so hard to get info online about the bars in hotels

Hotel Bars in Baton Rouge..

Posted by schampaigne32 on 6/19/16 at 8:38 pm
I am looking to kick it at a hotel bar..seems more low key..Any hotel bars besides Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, and Embassy Suites? Not sure about any good ones in or around the Baton Rouge area.
City cafe does them (or did) on Tuesdays. Boil n roux is actually the best I've ever had. City cafe is just so bland!
Anyone know anywhere that does this on Wednesdays. I know they do them at boil n roux Mondays and other places Tuesdays but what about wednesdays? Thanks.

all you can eat crawfish?

It's a longshot but I figured I'd ask here anyway. Any places doing all you can eat yet? and if not, any great deals too good to pass up??

A lot of places for to-go orders the cooks put the food directly in the to-go containers, and they never see a penny of any tips.

not trying to correct you, but Ive worked at about 20 restaurants around BR from the time I was 16-28 and Not once did the cook ever bag them...Box yes, but servers def arent in the kitchen boxing food lol. once its in a box in the window its all front of house dealing with it. Front of house who makes lower than minimum wage, and is why kitchen doesnt get tipped out
Here is my thing,I tip 10-15 percent on togo orders depending on how nice you are and especially if the person preparing your order (checking, bagging, putting silverware and condiments in) is a bartender or waiter.. why? because someone has to do it and it takes time away from their tipping tables to do this..for instance, bartending at a small seafood restaurant sucked!! we also had to handle togo orders and we got SLAMMED with them. when we had customers at the bar to take care of we had no choice but to stop taking care of them to handle take outs.. so yea, it helps.. On the other hand, I worked at ACME and we did not get paid any different than hostess pay (which was about $8)

I could see how you'd make $50K in Vegas, NYC, LA, or Seattle, def not BR.

I won't say where I work for obvious reasons, but I work at a bar in Baton Rouge, and make atleast 60K. Not bragging, just stating a fact. It is possible. I am also a full time student so I don't feel bad about earning that pay either.

Do you think they claim CC tips?

every single restaurant I have worked at *and that is a lot* there is no way around claiming credit card tips.. you have to enter a base total in the computer to close out a credit card transaction. Ex:$80 BILL $16 base total would be$96.. the computer automatically knows every cc tip so yes its automatically claimed.. Cash tips are a different story

As a taxpaying citizen, why should I be happy that I'm giving someone money under the table? That's why I never tip in cash, always on the card.

just being a douchebag, to be a douchebag. HA! just looking to make sure someone else gets fricked!.. thats also why your credit card tips probably always get altered by the server

How about the restaurants charge more for the food, the customer doesn't tip, and everyone is made happier by a simpler system.

do you people bitching about tipping and not spending an extra 20 percent of the bill realize that when/if companies decide to pay it's employees and do away with tipping, prices of food will double maybe even triple????? Would you rather pay $6 plus a two-dollar tip for onion rings being served with a smile, or pay $20.00 for those same onion rings with no tip.. its basic economics

It's really gotten out of control too. Everyone wants a god damn tip. And people like me don't want to look cheap so we tip well not to look cheap. It's really annoying.

you really don't sound like someone who tips well...

Why Tipping Should Be Banned
I usually tip well unless they suck, so I basically agree that it's a myth that good servers get tipped more. Another problem I have with tipping is the women get tipped more because they have boobs. The guy usually pays, and guys usually are attracted to girls.

get over it
so you want your daughter raped, then killed? no.. I think he did the right thing
if he hadn't left and gone to get police and they had shot and killed him instead, she may have gotten killed, as well. Think about it
