re: Ordering fast food through an “app”

I don’t think so. They’re still tracking your spending with the intent to manipulate your behavior. I don’t mean that in a sinister way, it’s just the way things work these days.
Each customer is a unique data point. They can tailor these offers depending on your past response.
Without promotions, maybe you’re a once per month customer spending $15 each visit/month. With them, maybe you’re a once per week customer spending $$13 per visit or $52/month. That’s a good deal for them. They can get more money out of you by marketing to you for free and they don’t have to extend the offer to customers who came to the restaurant prepared to pay full price.

1. They don’t need someone to take your order. It’s hard to find people with the soft skills to create a pleasant experience and it costs money to have them in place.
2. Average check is higher on apps because of upselling opportunities. The more you spend, the more they make.
3. Accuracy rates are higher, so you’re more likely to return
4. it’s a medium through which they can track your spending behavior and entice you to return in the event you become a lapsed customer. They can advertise to you for free, basically.
5. Busy fast food restaurants have a revenue bottleneck at the drive thru. Their revenue is capped by how many orders they can process in a certain period of time. The app moves people through the line more quickly, thus increasing throughput and, therefore, revenue
I’m sure there are more benefits I’m not considering, but these are substantial factors to the restaurant. They want to condition this ordering behavior, so they offer discounts to encourage it.

Yeah, Fortaleza is great in that price range.
I like El Tesoro a lot too. For about 6 months or so, the Rouses on Vets near Causeway had El Tesoro Reposado priced at $29, even though the Blanco was like $39. I probably went through a case and a half of the stuff. Went back last week to re-up, and the price was adjusted to $55. Probably not going to be my ranch water go to for much longer.

Agree that Espolon silver is a pretty good fit for your first question.
For a gateway sipping tequila, maybe try a really good blanco instead. At $75, I really like Casa Dragones Blanco.

I'm no pro here, but I can give you a point of reference.
I'm in the process of building an outdoor kitchen with granite countertops and a waterfall edge on one side. I need 57 sf of stone for the job. Installation is $1775 and the slab was $1111. The granite I picked, I'm told, was reasonably priced compared to other options.
This shouldn't really help you too much, though. As others have said, these projects are too variable to estimate pricing without knowing all of the information. Not only could the stone you like be much more expensive per sf, but the amount of waste could be greater depending on the veining patterns, particularly if you are doing 2 waterfall edges.

re: Is there a way to put a pellet grill into an outdoor kitchen set up?

Coyote and Memphis both make built in pellet grills. I've never cooked on either - or on any pellet grill for that matter. Just came across them when building my outdoor kitchen
Saints defense under Spags allowed more yards per game than any NFL defense ever.

Riverhorse on Main is a pretty good spot.
OOOh, that's great to know. Thank you!
KeKe, Aiyuk, or Chark?
Posted by milksteak on 12/13/20 at 10:21 am
KeKe vs. Chi (4th fewest points allowed to WR)
Aiyuk vs. Was (2nd fewest points to WR)
Chark vs Tenn (4th most points to WR)
Aiyuk is hot with a tough matchup. Chark has a good matchup, but hasn't done much. Keke is one of few options in Hou, but has a tough matchup and is hard to trust after one week.
What do you guys think?

Glad you found someone that is a good fit. As I've recently learned, this seems to be kind of a shady industry.
Cheers and let's hope it is a relatively pain-free process for all of us. Wishful thinking, perhaps.

We're under contract with Rafael at LA Pools as well. We haven't started construction yet, so I can't comment on build quality or timeliness. I can say that my pre-contract experience was very different from yours. We received a quote based on a drawing at our very first meeting. I found him to be extremely transparent about pricing. He was even willing to put numbers out there for some of my vague questions. I don't think I ever saw any 3D drawings.

Thanks again for the tips.
For whatever reason, I am inherently skeptical of pool contractors. I get kind of a used car salesman vibe from some of them. A lot of name dropping, pressure tactics, and vague answers to specific questions.
LA Pools was easy going pre-contract execution. Really hoping that continues and that TygerT's experience was an isolated one.

That's what I was wondering.
Found a couple sources online, for those interested:

In all likelihood, I'll probably just end up using gas more than wood for pizza. Just don't know how much smoke flavor I'll really get in 60-90 seconds of cooking.
I do see that the Gozney has a port to attach a pellet feeder, though, FYI.

Damnit!
Any chance I can get you to expand on that? I'd love to know what to look out for.

Yes, I signed a contract with LA Pools yesterday. His quote wasn't itemized specifically for travertine, but I believe he said it was around $15 per sq ft with the compacted sand/stone approach. Another $5 per sq ft for the concrete foundation.
I pretty much went with the package he offered, but added the concrete foundation, added some deck jets, and upgraded the pool cleaner. I'm also adding a heat pump and upgrading the controller so that I can work lights and stuff from my phone/ipads.

I didn't see any quotes that low, but demand hasn't been this high in decades, maybe ever, from what I'm told. No surprise that prices have followed.
Roger that. I'm going concrete slab for sure.
$15 per sq ft with only about 600-700 sq ft of decking.
Found a phone pic of what we may go with. Hope this link works -

We haven't officially spec'd a color, but it will be pretty close to white I am sure.
LSUlove, I had the same experiences. The contractors all said they could pour a concrete foundation, but didn't necessarily recommend doing so since problems would be more substantial if they occurred.
If I were being skeptical I might suggest that they are busy and just want to get in and out of the job quickly. It does seem weird that your 7 contractors and my 3 all said the same thing, though.
I'm going with concrete foundation. It's only $5 more per sq ft of decking and I won't have to worry about weeds.
