Whoever asked this question is undoubtedly looking for some racial commentary from the board. Bottom line....He will not be the coach b/c he is black! Period! Fair or not, it is what it is. The Tiger Fandom would be in a uproar. He is a good coach with good lineage and probably would be a great addition but it would never fly in the SEC as far as powerhouses are concerned. Plus once he got here, there would be scrutiny to no end the minute he loses that first game and would be on a very very short leash! Not worth the headache! He will make Miss St. competitive and they will thank him for exceeding the normal expectations they have. At LSU, he would have to go undefeated twice with two NC just to be considered "LSU's" coach. Hell, Miles has just gotten that title unofficially and he's about to bolt.

Not touching the field in the first year not being a QB? Bust!!! He was a bust from the moment he was drafted and they should have taken Greg Olsen (Brees would be doing considerably better throwing to his receivers with a safety valve like Olsen) or one of the quality CB's. There is absolutely no justification right now for choosing Meachem and now his "rookie" will be next year when we could have chosen a rookie receiver next year who likely would have been better for the value! No more hiding from the fact that that was a bogus pick....Sean Peyton took a step back in evaluation of talent with that one.
What about a purple helmet, similiar to the dark helmets that TCU wears? I've always thought that it would make the tigers more menacing and I think that would make the white jersey's look even more outstanding?
