Cops Called On 'Disruptive' Parent of 3-Year-Old Child After He Kills It On Soccer Field

A youth soccer game in Florida ended with cops being called because a 3-year-old was outplaying the other kids on the field...
quote:

The kid in question, Nevada, was killing it on the field in Winter Park ... scoring goal after goal ... and running past the other kids who were trying to stop him.

An organizer from the i9 Sports program, who puts on the league, called police claiming one of Nevada's parents was being disruptive ... and they were upset about their 3-year-old being taken out of the game after playing well.

The parents were asked to leave and offered a refund, presumably for their son's soccer team fees.

The league said in a statement ... "We are aware of concerns being shared regarding an incident at a local i9 Sports program, and we take them very seriously. The respectful treatment and well-being of every child and family matter deeply to us. We have reached out to the family and have begun a review that includes speaking with those involved."

Winter Park Police Department also issued a statement, saying it was a soccer league official who had called them, saying there was a "disturbance between league officials and the parents of a player."

So I'm gonna put my thinking cap on and deduce what likely actually happened....

The kid was really good at soccer. Good for him. But so good that he was basically ruining the experience for all the other 3 year-olds. So the refs and/or coaches pulled him from the game. Parents get upset because they think this is a talent showcase for FIFA and start making a scene. Police get called because they won't calm the F down and continue to disrupt a sporting event for 3 year-olds.

Definitely misleading title and people not reading the article. The cops were not called because the kid was so good. They were called because the parents started being assholes because the kid was pulled from the game to allow others to get a chance to play.

The real crime here is that someone named their child Nevada

Also - I feel like we are (intentionally) not getting the full story here

No you are getting the full story. A bunch of people are made that their kids couldn't take the ball away from another kid. This story has blown up several places today.

If you know anything about i9, it’s a bunch of kids that haven’t even started rec soccer. They are required to play each kid an equal amount of time.

This story is confusing. Is this like taking out a starting quarterback after the team is so far ahead?

In the 90’s kids like this would play-up and develop. Now, they stay in age group and just dominate to the point no one else gets to touch the ball until the game is over. It’s a waste of everyone’s time.

And no, Twitter, the cop wasn’t called on the 3yr old. It was the crazy mom.

That kid is very good at playing the game of soccer. Let him play. How can others expect to get better if they are not challenged?

I mean the kid should be playing with older kids, is it that hard to figure out?

The kids are literally older than him lol.

Well then let him play even older kids that match his skill level

The dude narrating sounds like he English as second language, and not ghetto trash. This feels more like a misunderstanding than someone dropping a bunch of MFs. Even the comment about cops being called on a 3 yr old sounds tongue and cheek. And that cute little kid is a mother fricking unicorn with the ball on his foot.
