This was a fantastic trip, took the family, lots to do for the whole family. Great shopping, food was really good, downtown was nice as well. Felt pretty safe as well. Visited Franklin town and ate at Puckett's, much better than the same one in Chattanooga. Wish I would have been able to catch a Predators game, but having to come home 1 day early

Our family is planning on going during Mardi Gras. Where did you stay. Any recommendations would be great. We will have a family of 4. Our kids ages are 14 and 12

We are heading there in May for the Taylor Swift concert with my 14 year old. Staying right off Broadway. Have Saturday wide open, so would love to hear suggestions on things to do with a 14 year old.

We have stayed at Homewood Suites by Hilton Nashville-Downtown (706 Church St.). Decent price, and a safe area, but a few blocks walk down to Lower Broadway and the HOF. Close to the state capital, TN State Museum, Printer's Alley, and Ryman Auditorium.

We stopped at the downtown Whole Foods on the way in and stocked up on beer/cokes/water for the full-size room fridge.

A benefit for families is a very good free breakfast buffet that changes each day. Has a decent bar too.

We stayed at the embassy suites on demonbruen.... Which is right next to the Bridgestone area and by the country music hall of Fame. Was a great spot, 2 blocks from Broadway.

We spent some time in Franklin, green hills, went to the Gaylord Opry land resort was quite the place to be for Christmas.... Also did a little bit of shopping of you like that kinda thing, the malls were much different than what we have here. I'm not a shopper and actually enjoyed seeing the different stores.

We ate at 1 hotel for new years, it's connected to the embassy suites, I would have stayed there but it didn't show up readily on Google search because it's new. Fantastic hotel with a great restaurant, bar and lounge upstairs, and spa. The new years dinner was outta this world, so was the price though

Checked out the Titans stadium and did some touristy sight seeing. There is so much to do there. Literally you don't have to drive if you stay downtown. They have a gigantic guitar center as well, it's by Vanderbilt health center

I would highly recommend catching a hockey game of it falls right for you..... Such a great time

Did you use the reviews on this board?

Would you add anything to them?

Skulls Rainbow Room in Printers Alley - it is a dinner/show type of place. The food is FABULOUS. A co-worker recently went: "The best we had on our entire trip".

Another friend came up recently. Shared the ones below, but also suggested 5th and Taylor in Germantown. Her comment was "it was fantastic".

Other Restaurant Recommendations:
• Rolf and Daughters (Germantown)
• The Optimist (Germantown)
• Henrietta Red (Germantown)
• Folk (East Nashville)
• Bourbon Steak (Downtown)
• The Continental (Downtown)
• Audrey (East Nashville)
• Twelve Thirty Supper Club (Downtown)
• Peninsula (East Nashville)

Currently visiting, staying at placemakr on demonbraun. It’s an apartment building so the one bedroom is way bigger than a hotel room. Room was pretty cheap too. We’re two blocks off Broadway and the location is great.
Went to the gulch last night for drinks at proof (rooftop bar at the w hotel) and ate at sunda where we had some really good Asian food and drinks. Then hit Broadway and went to five or so bars and once we found a band we really liked just stayed there for the rest of the night.

Sounds convenient. FYI, Rooftop Bars are a "thing" here.

LINK

Check out LA Jackson in the Gulch at the Thompson.

FYI..

Aforementioned group was looking at Sadie's in Edgehill area. Not far from you. Haven't been, but have great reviews.
