This. It’s like they multiply when coming off the bus(es).
On topic, I have to agree with several points made. The internet makes it tough for any place to be a “secret” or secluded location. Also, everyone does seem to want to visit places that are seen as more obscure or unique. I’m guilty of that myself.

Lol sure thing CNN.

Increasingly safe and less burdened by tourism than Peru, Colombia is home to the spectacular Lost City. Far fewer tourists come here, making it easier to explore.
Lol sure thing CNN.

Chick I'm meeting up with in peru is in Columbia now... it looks incredible honestly. She's still on the coast, but will be there another month or so, so i expect to see much more of the country.

We all are.
I've always wanted to see these places I've seen in books since I started school, so even if they get overcrowded I'm still going to go.
But then you hear about these other sites that for some reason didn't make your 6th grade social studies book cover and you just have to see that.
I want to see all what humanity has built in the past. It fascinates me, hence Bagan. I'm currently pushing one of my friends to visit Nan Madol I bet 99% of people have never heard of the place.

It’s so true though..I thought I had this great idea to go to Mexico City. It’s close, easy to get to, looks awesome, and I wondered why no one ever goes there, so I decided to go check it out with my girlfriend.
She told one of her friends, and her friend was like, “that’s a popular place to go. Everyone is going to Mexico City.”
I was like, goddammit
