Weekend getaway ideas

Trying to getaway for a weekend somewhere within 1-2 hours of BR. Looking for a boutique hotel or BnB type place. Stayed at the Roost in Ocean Springs last year and loved it. Somewhere with a craft cocktail bar would be a huge plus. Thanks in advance

A little further than your 1-2 hour range but you could give Natchitoches a try. Several B&B's and the Mariners restaurant is under new ownership as of last November. Their bar area, The Cove, has some nice cocktails.

Hammond: Michabelle Inn
Natchitoches: Andrew Morris House
We have stayed in both and recommend them.

Natchez, MS - tons of B&B's and some great bars and views
The Myrtles in St. Francisville - beautiful grounds and a great restaurant with bar on site

Certainly agree with the Natchez rec. great weekend getaway. Natchez Brewery is great, 100 Main is a cool bar, under the hill restaurants are good

Southern Star Hotel or a BnB in old town Covington.
A little further drive, but Fairhope, AL is a great little town across the Mobil Bay. You can stay at a Inn or BnB there or for a nicer experience the Grand Hotel just down the road in Point Clear. That's a bigger more resort experience, but pretty cool.
