Has anyone traveled to Chicago from LA in the past few weeks? They have a "travel advisory" for passengers coming from certain states due to covid. LA is one of those states. Their advisory says, "passengers are advised to provide a negative test result, proof of vaccination, or quarantine for 10 days."

I'm not vaccinated and I don't have a negative test (can get one though)...just trying to figure out if/how they're checking this. Is it in the airport upon arrival? Or is it just bluffing?

I haven't traveled back to Chicago from a state with a travel advisory, but I also haven't seen any sort of "checkpoints" at MDW or ORD. I'm assuming it's honor system. Things in Chicago aren't closing down, by any stretch, but I can tell you it's getting stricter across all businesses.

Not going to question someone's choice for not being vaccinated, but between flying, staying in a hotel and, I'd assume, being with clients, probably in your/their best interest to have a negative result.

Agree 100%. Just curious how they were handling their "advisory."

Fair enough... As far as I know, really just "honor code." Wouldn't worry about anything coming up in the airport, especially when flying domestic.

After the last couple months of no masks inside, Pritzker/Lightfoot are now advising everyone to follow CDC guidelines. Up to the business, of course. Most are starting to impose an indoor mask policy, while others are not - my local coffee shop doesn't care. Few and far between, but some bars in the neighborhoods are requiring proof of vaccination (i.e. picture).

I know this is a Louisiana board, but no one except people from Louisiana refer to it as LA. LA is Los Angeles....

People from south Alabama refer to it as LA also FWIW, Lower Alabama.

But yeah, I flew out of Ohare recently and there was nothing to worry about.
