decided to go hit up disney/universal for a few days weekend of Oct 10. Just me, Mrs jkyle, and my 2 y/o son. Have tix/reservations lined up for 8th&9th for epcot and magic kingdom. Was wanting to do universal studios on sat (10th) which will be our last day. I know our ability to ride a buncha stuff will be limited since my 2 y/o boy will be with us but should i pony up the extra cash to do the park-to-park option at universal for the last day ? I haven't been to any of these parks in almost 30 yrs so I'm not really sure what to expect. Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

I definitely recommend getting the park hopper and we always do at Universal but I feel like with a two year old you could get away with just picking one park if you are trying to save a few bucks

Not that worried about the 100-120 ill save. I guess just wondering if ill have time to see both parks in one day. They have a "child swap " thing so we can take turns riding a few rides.

Both parks can easily be done in a day

Thanks for the info. Gonna grab the tickets today. The train between the two parks looks interesting.

404$ for 2 adults for 1 day. Yikes. Good thing the little guy gets in free.

Everyone talks about how expensive Disney is, and I always know they have never been to Universal. That price would have been another $200 higher or so if you wanted the Express Pass. I’m hoping you got it already because $200 a person for off season seems a bit high.

Yeah thats just admission. No express pass. I think we'll hold off on that in hopes that the lines are a little tamer with covid restrictions going on.

We did both parks today from 9-2. No way we do it without the Express Pass. Some regular lines were small but many were 1-3 hrs. The park was packed for a regular day but extreme for COVID time. There was a line of 300+ waiting to get in as the park reached capacity.

Just my $0.02

I mean, this is Labor Day weekend.

I will remind people, though, that you get Express Passes included if you are staying at one of Universal's top three resorts (Portofino, Hard Rock, or Royal Pacific). Staying there is often cheaper than buying the passes, and you get them for the day you check in and the day you check out -- and you're right next to the park entrance.

Park once, pay once. Remember at peak, they make more than a million a day on parking fees alone.

My daughter loved the three year period that I was working building the Caribbean Beach resort and Consulting Dixie, Dolphin and the Swan.

Told her ...want to go to any of the parks, just tell me on Friday. Had a employee pass. Drove in, parked free then walked into the employee entrance with up to four guests. All we paid for was food.

When we learned of the perks, the site supervisor and I ate at every restaurant in the parks over a two year period. Good times

I wouldn’t judge crowds based on a holiday weekend. I read the same thing about Disney this weekend as well. We went in late July and did a Monday-Friday trip and never waited in any lines. It was during the height of Florida’s outbreak so that may have kept people away more than now but overall, they say it’s basically a walk on to almost everything during the week.

Universal is awesome. Everything was up to date with today’s movie interest. I did get a little tired of all the 3D rides. Although their pretty good, I get nauseated after the 10th one or so.

I’ve been three times and the best was the week before Christmas. Very manageable crowds and the weather was great

Not an option for 2020 at Disney. You have to make a reservation each day for which park you're attending.

I thought fast passes weren't an option either. Is that the same as an express pass?

OP mentions Universal Studios so I'm assuming that's why they said express pass. The two are not the same.
