I have only been to Istanbul(2X). loved it and will go back. Tremendous amount of history, vibrant culture. took tour of Bosporus, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Bazaars, went to hamam, etc...
My wife has also been to Antalya, and did Ephesus trip, beaches, etc..
We took a 1/2 day tour of Istanbuhl with a small group (us and 4 kiwis) - they were there to visit Gallipoli, a campaign we never really think of. It was really interesting to get it from their perspective, and how important it was to the development of their country.

No, It was intimidating. The bazaar was nice but the sellers are very aggressive. Walking down the street hearing the call to prayer and everyone going into mosques was something we do not see.....all in all ephesus was fantastic....rest of turkey meh

Istanbul is really amazing and a must-visit. I haven’t been anywhere else in Turkey.

Istanbul is absolutely amazing. The Bosphorus is spectacular the city is awesome. The cistern was really amazing to see. Turkish Airways used to have some stupid cheap fares out of Houston.

Turkish probably has one of the best coach long haul cabins. Even if you're not planning a trip to Istanbul you can connect to almost anywhere. Turkish flys to more countries than any other airline in the world.

We flew on Turkish Air to Ephesus and Goreme (Nevsehir) and was very pleased.
Turkey is an amazing country with great diversification and wonderful people.
The food is great. Highly recommend a visit.

I'm jealous of you guys. I had to cancel after Muslims decided to Muslim and shot up the airport. That and they had three bombings the months before. Felt like I needed to let things cool down. Constantinople isn't going anywhere

Most of the bombings when I went were in the east or Ankara. I was actually there when the dumb Mohammed video came out. I never saw any protests or anything. I wouldn't worry about it.
