Thoughts from a Weekend at the Beau 6/28/20

Spent last weekend at the Beau, have a few thoughts.
-No in room dining sucks
-Rooms are getting rough condition-wise
-Masks are required everywhere but there is a certain demographic (white, gen x) who decide to be a pain in the arse for all the employees and try to flaunt the rules.
-TAG Sports Bar food is good
-Pool is only open 10-6 which sucks
-Pool is crowded but never felt like people were too close. Easy to find a spot on the oceanside deck.
-frick whoever organized this Scraping the Coast bullshite
-Ocean Springs is 0 masks 0 concern for capacity at bars. Glory Bound (formerly Theo's I think?) and Mosaic were full patios with live music and full bars with overflow trying to get drinks.
(BTW I don't think mask wearing/distancing in public is as helpful as they make it seem but look whats happening in FL/TX shits getting shut down because everyone is going straight back to normal.)
-Lack of valet and Beau's design of trying to be a resort and making you walk through a half mile of shitty shops that nobody is going to buy shite from to get from the parking garage to your room elevator really shows itself when all the stores are closed.
-Video Poker bar in the center of the casino is now non-smoking!
-Call Terrace Cafe 30 mins before you want breakfast and place your order then stroll down pick it up and take it back to your room. Tons of people waiting for tables at 50% capacity, to go so much better.

Glad y’all went to Ocean Springs...BSL is much the same as over there, crowded AF and no masks, outside of waiters.

I was down there as well. Scraping the Coast was about the trashiest thing I've ever seen. Shirtless guy on top of his squatted truck, drinking a beer on the street. Lots of burnouts in stopped traffic. Shitload of guys competing to see who had the shittiest sounding truck.
You are correct about the Beau. Except to eat, we didn't spend much time there. The Hard Rock was more accommodating. The pool is better too! Much more action and way better music.

Isn't the Beau planning a big renovation? Definitely needs it

What is the typical demographic that is visiting the beau in general at this time?

Time has passed the Beau by. It’s probably the 4-5th best casino on the coast now. They’re rooms are trash and smell like cig smoke from 1998

Margaritaville is, but haven't heard anything about the Beau. It needs it too. Until the pandemic is over everything is on hold.
