Got the great news that my daughters club volleyball team will be playing in Minneapolis over the kids spring break (mid march)
Anyone have anything i can get my hopes up about traveling there in March? Seems weather looks to be overall shitty for the month of March.
Oh and the team gets the fortunate draw of staying at the Marriott airport hotel...which from the reviews online sounds like a dumpster FML

March can be completely hit-or-miss. Been up some years when it's beautiful (high 50s-60s) for St. Patrick's Day and others when it's cold and rain/sleet or snow. For the most part, I'd expect it to be cold... Even going to Target Field in April sucks.
If there is an upside about your hotel, it's right next to MOA. Also, could always take the Blue Metro lightrail into Minneapolis, but it's a bit of a time investment.
ETA: I love Minneapolis, but even early spring is a tough time to go.

Maybe you can go visit the George Floyd memorial.

Minneapolis is one of those large cities I can never fall in love with. Also in March you will need a large coat and decent boots. Large cities have watery slush everywhere on the streets.

You can, literally, get to any building in downtown Minneapolis via Skyway without ever stepping outside.

The skyways are independently owned, have their own closing times, and you're not always going to use them. Good boots and a decent coat in a upper midwest winter are still strongly advised. Folks down here act like a North Face fleece and some top siders should suffice (and they do, if you're in Fort Worth or Birmingham).

I gotta assume this was the plan.
