Been to gulf shores plenty but usually stay at a beach house or the turquoise palace. Whole family’s going so we got a 4 bedroom at a good rate. What can I expect. Got older kids so don’t care about attractions just want to sit back and have some drinks. I do like to grill in evenings so hopefully that’s available

You should have rented a Beach House. You will be 5-6 chairs deep and a line at the grills every night.

If you are used to going to that area for beach trips, I’m not sure what information that you are looking for

For that property?

OP, I've stayed at several Phoenix properties over the past 12 years. Generally they are well run and will be clean. No frills, but budget friendly.

You are in one of the older places, but it should be just fine. My friends on social media have mentioned no real problems with the beaches due to the storm.

Shoot I'm sorry.
Needed my first cup of coffee as I read Phoenix 2.
We stayed for free with some friends there last summer. It is a very nice property and well built. The problems you will run into are the beach maybe being too crowded and the elevator wait times.

They are one of the few places with a lazy river on the beach side, so kids love it. Might be the only Phoenix that has a bar/little grill onsite. Nothing great, but if you want something and don't feel like leaving the property, it's nice to have.

We were there a couple weeks ago. I will agree the elevator wait times can take awhile sometimes, but overall it is a very nice, well built facility. You shouldn't have any problems having a good trip.

The 4br condos are very nice. We enjoyed our stay there. I didn't notice the beaches being overcrowded as some have said. The elevators can be a problem at peak times though, especially check in/out times

Beaches weren’t a problem at all when we were there in early August.
Elevators were only a minor issue a few times, one of which was when a rouge lightning strike came out of nowhere in the middle of the day and sent the whole damn beach heading inside. LOL

I could just see both being an issue when it’s a crowded weekend

We've stayed there annually for several years. Going again next month.

Go stake your spot out on the beach early if you want to be close to the water. I've never rented the chairs the condo puts out on the beach, so not sure how early they can be reserved.

Plenty of chairs by the outdoor pool and lazy river. There's a few grills there, but I've never used them before.

Parking deck is huge. Usually have to drive to at least 6th or 7th floor to park. Not a big deal though.

The elevators are rather slow since they always seem to be full. That's probably my only complaint.

Even though I just sold it this makes me appreciate my small, 3 story complex.

Yep. When I was a little younger and the kids were smaller, all I cared about was a good place at a good price and wanted the kids to have some entertainment.
Not so much anymore. Where we stayed a few weeks ago was four stores and was maybe half and half with tourist vs people who actually owned the place from what I can tell.

We visited a friend at a place in Perdido Key that seemed to be 100% owner and no rentals. Place was super nice and not crowded at all. That's more my style when it comes to beach condos.
