Headed to see the Tigers play, not sure what’s open or what’s closed due to Covid but was hoping someone could shed some light for us.
A few bachelors staying Fri and Sat night, no plans other than the game so far. I want to see the arch too but not sure of anything else

as a 29 yo I can give help.
You cant go wrong in either one. Como is a true college town, not some big city diluted by locals.
For STL:
Skip the ARCH and go to the Hilton 360 roof top bar. After that, hit up Ballpark village(right across the street). For a brunch that is more of a party, get a table at wheelhouse, would need to do so asap. another cool spots downtown would be Broadway oyster bar.
Bar hop in soulard(5 minutes from downtown via car) - this is the prime day drinking area
Stay away from Anything north of (even if its just 1 block) Washington BLVD.
For breweries - anheuser busch, 4 hands, urban chestnut and rockwell. Best brewiers/atmosphere
There is enough here for drinking for a few days.
for a real thrill, end up on the east side at strip clubs - best way to take in the city. Nothing better than strip clubs in the most dangerous part of America - its actually really safe to do this. With bars closing at 11 because of covid, this may be a good move(but look up metro east bar rules, could have changed)
For Columbia - 1)Harpos 2)big 12(I know) 3)Shiloh's. Those are the best 3 bars by a mile. cool spots - on the rocks, and Logboat
MUST eat at booches - the ESPN crews always mention this place on air, and they all go there every time
Overall because of covid, STL will have the most places available to go to bc you can spread out. Como has 20k college kids and a handful of bars, may be impossible to get in with covid restrictions.
Let me know if you plan on staying in como and I'll expand.

What is the ticket situation for the LSU game?
Posted on 10/7/20 at 7:53 pm to RATeamWannabe
Venice Cafe in STL (close to AB) is really worth a visit. Pretty unique place to say the least. Cash only.

Looks like everyone bailed, so I’m going solo and will stay in Columbia
Def plan on staying in this thread, trying to figure out ticket situation now

CC's City Broiler
It's a steakhouse in a strip mall not far from campus. I'm 4 hours away and I'd almost drive there just for a meal.

Expensive tho. But amazing

Are the sorority chicks going to flock to Harpos? I’ve seen it mentioned in multiple threads

Harpos is a strong mix of all ages, and yes a ton of them will be there.
Willies/fieldhouse(same thing) will most likely have the most talent
Big 12 - if you wanna be the oldest person there
Nashvegas for the wanna be country girls
Shiloh for the recent grads
IF shot bar reopened(covid) that's my #1 spot.
On the rocks for a cool upper vibe
Heidelberg's for the parents
The rooftop or Room 38 for the yuppie girls
----------------------------
3 most popular places in all of town
Bar - Harpos
Bar/food - Shakesperes
Food - Booches
Must experience all there of these, but for Booches and Shakespeare's go at odd hours, waits can be long.
All these bars mentioned are all within 2 blocks, except shiloh which is like 6 blocks(still walkable)

I'm particular to McNally's just cause I dated a bartender my sophomore year.

Ha, I still have not been there, surprisingly.

I’m at the Hilton garden, thanks for that rundown man!

Get after it. Visitors are treated like kings

Tues/Thurs $1 pitchers of Killian's would be just the ticket for a poor student.
