It's not every flight and not every destination but savings surely to be had.

I had a first class United flight SLC - MSY in December I paid almost $500 that I cancelled to jump on a SW fare for $136 / 8500 points.

During their 25th birthday celebration Southwest offered all flights for $25. That was quite a deal then.

I just booked for a flight I needed to set up in October. Only ONE of the 30 flights available for that round trip had the half off option.

Such a joke. I wish SWA would stop acting like they’re cheap anymore. They’re affordable and kind, that’s about it now.

they are pretty much a joke now. typically double or more than any other carrier. only reason I even mess with them now is because I have some points left over.

This sale is not a very good one based on what I'm seeing. It's for maybe 2 or 3 flights out of 15 on a lot of routes at terrible times of the day. Not really for any of the nonstops, only flights with connections

No, you're 100% right. It's not as robust as it once was but half off MSY -> SLC in Dec when I had a skip trip planned anyway certainly helped.
