Should we expect to see United start dropping prices?

Flying to Seattle (out of IAH) in June & need to purchase tickets soon. Wondering your thoughts on if this PR nightmare they are having will result in them lowering prices in the next week or so.

Unlikely. PR events are historically short lived. Also with airlines people just buy the cheapest tickets most of the time so no need to slash prices.

You'll see some promotional rates that will look amazing, but will be for like 2 passengers per flight.

Flying through Istanbul seemed to be different. Tickets were much cheaper for a while.
