Those are some good places.

Years ago with kids I stayed at Andy’s Trout Farm. Nice quiet and simple.
It is still open I found out

Not a town, but Cloudland Canyon State Park outside Trenton is amazing, with great hikes to waterfalls, and Chattanooga is close by. There are cabins at the park.

I like Dahlonega. And the surrounding area is beautiful.
I haven’t eaten at all the places there but Spirits burgers get the nod from me.
