Looking to do a quick two night trip somewhere with the kids in a few weeks. Preference is to go somewhere with a decent beach and other entertainment spots for fun at night. Kids are under 5
I was thinking Biloxi but there isn't a ton over there in terms of activities for kids at night. Any other spots that would be in the same driving range?

We live in Lafayette.

The Margaritaville resort is very kid friendly. It actually doesn't even have a casion. Pool/lazy river, huge arcade, bars & restaurants, etc.

decent beach

That, we do not have though.

I think your options are South Padre Island or Gulf Shores.

The 3 G's for something quick:

Gulf Shores (5 hours from Lafayette)

Galveston (4 hours)

Grand Isle (3 hours, but does not have any entertainment options and the beach is dirty)

You could look at going to the Grand Hotel in Point Clear AL.
Really nice pool and lots of free rental thinks like bikes, non powered boats, etc.
It’s in the Mobil bay so the beach isn’t great.
Other than that I would find a hotel in Orange Beach or Pensacola.
That’s a lot of driving for just two nights.

This is the answer you are looking for. Bring your kids. They will enjoy it.

Leave the kids and you will enjoy it even more!
