Been to different areas of Mexico but never Puerto Vallarta. Any recommendations for all inclusive resorts to look at in that area?

Family or adults only?
If adults, then I highly recommend Casa Velas. Great boutique AI resort with access to a couple of sister AI properties. If family, then look at Velas Vallarta Resort.

Good question. I should have included that originally. Adults.

I had a great experience at Villa La Estancia in Neuvo Vallarta, just north of Puerto Vallarta. Service, Food, Spar were all great. It was adult only with access to the family resort's amenities next door.

The closer you are to the Zona Romantica, the better. Nuevo Vallarta is resort after resort after resort. Not much authentic Mexican culture out that way.
You can AirBNB. There are several hotels and resorts in that area. Hyatt Ziva is just south.

I am headed to Punta Mita on July 1st. It is about a 45 minute drive from Puerta Vallarta airport. First time at Conrad hotel b/c I have the kids with me.
I have stayed at Four Seasons and St. Regis the last 2 times I have been to Punta Mita (no kids either time).
I love this side of Mexico

This is a much smaller than the Grand Velas, but still worth it. I think this is probably the best AI group in Puerto Vallarta.

I will be down in Punta Mita in mid-July, currently booked at the W. What are some things that are must see/do while down there? Would I be better off booking at Conrad or Iberostar as it is closer to Sayulita?
