I stayed at the rui palace this past august.

For what I paid, I would do it again in a heart beat.

My fiance and I went, Im 28 and she's 26 ( we actually got engaged right when we got there. lol ), and we had a blast. All the food and alcohol one could dream of, plus it's super close to the city of Cabo. The staff was friendly and helpful as well.

Great Exuma is awesome, I got married there and stayed for my honeymoon. Beautiful beaches and water and not too touristy. Plus it’s only 45 mins flight from Miami

I can't speak on Jamaica, but I have some experiences in Cabo. I've stayed at Sandos Finisterra and Riu Palace.

Sandos Finisterra- You can't beat the location. It is right next to the marina and the city center. It is much smaller than Riu Palace. If you are doing the all inclusive package, the food is pretty good. You can't swim on the beaches here, as the waves crash on the beach and the current is pretty strong at this part of the beach.

Riu Palace- This resort is much bigger and nicer than Sandos, but you will have to take a cab if you want to head to the marina or city center. Cabs are cheap, so it shouldn't be a problem. There's always a lot going on at this resort. You can swim on these beaches, but it is still risky because of the current. Another nice thing about this Riu is there is another Riu resort next door and you can get in there if you are getting bored with your resort.

I personally liked Sandos Finesterra more because it is more low key than Riu, so we got our drinks faster and the food was slightly better. I also liked the location, in that you can walk anywhere you would want to go with no problem.

Jamaica is a shite hole

A shame that it has become that. I went several times back in the 80's for Sunsplash. It was great. I've read about it recently though and its not the same at all. Kinda like the U.S. in a way.

Pretty sure me and the gf were the ones on the beach when you proposed.

I pretty much agree with all of that Yung said. Riu Palace is a nice place. The buffet is mediocre but some of the restaurants are pretty good. Two huge infinity pools are nice amd they have smaller ones, with swim up bars, which is where the party is.

I would stay there again.
