Was up there this summer for a few days. Gaucho Parilla in the Strip District has awesome Argentine food.

Pamela’s Diner is great for breakfast. It’s also in the strip district, but I think there are a couple of other locations.

Meat & Potatoes was good for a nicer dinner.

Those were the only three notable meals we had. Primanti Bris is overrated, but still decent and a Pittsburgh staple.

We enjoyed just walking around the Oakland(I think)area, but maybe too cold when you’ll be there. Near Schenley Park. The incline up to Mt Washington was okay too. There are a few bars and restaurants up there. Coughlin’s Law was our favorite.

Just went last month, I’d do the stadium tour at PNC Park and Heinz Field if available. We stayed right across the street from PNC. Like others have said Primanti is overrated but we went anyway and I’d still recommend it. We also rode the incline to Mt. Washington. Great view of the city. Also check out Carson St, more bars than any street in America or so I’m told. We ate at Fatheads on Carson St.

Heinz History Center - has an excellent Mr Rogers Exhibit with some of the set and the puppets from the show.

They also have a really cool memorial statue of him in a park.

Been in Pittsburgh for 3 weeks in the last month. Stayed at the DoubleTree at One Bigelow Square. Hotel wasn’t the best but in a great location. You can walk from there to see the Penguins. Rooms are around $150 a night plus another $26 a night for valet parking.

The entrance into Pittsburgh through the tunnel is awesome! Once you pop out of the tunnel Pittsburgh is like BAM in your face! Carson St will have all the bars/restaurants you want. My favorite was Emiliano’s. Pittsburgh was a surprisingly beautiful city. Definitely take the Duquesne incline and dine on Mt Washington one night. This is my view from a steakhouse atop my Washington one night. I can’t remember the name but it use to be the Grandview Saloon.

Made a few trips there a few years ago. This was my favorite thing. I got to see it several days during my stays because I had to drive out of town for work. I enjoyed a couple bars/eateries in the strip district. I also enjoyed a Pens game and the walk back to the hotel. It was a hike, but the weather made it easy.

Gets my vote for most beautiful city in the U.S. The view from Mt.Washington at nighttime is spectacular.

In addition to those already mentioned, I’d like to add Fioris - great pizza. Also, get a Devonshire sandwich, another Pittsburgh original. Union Grill has a good one.

Also, if you like old school, divey type bars check out Sammy's Corned Beef downtown. The bartender when we went was this massive guy that used to be a professional wrestler. He had some awesome old stories.

I don't know if their corned beef sandwiches are any good, but people kept coming in getting one to go.
