We enjoyed both of these.

Went during summer so can’t comment on skiing. High West is awesome. Very good meal at Chimayo. Also enjoyed River Horse. Check out the theater in town to see who is playing there. Didn’t go hit it looked cool.

We also did a yoga thing on paddle boards in a cavern fed by hot springs. Was pretty cool and definitely different.

For skiing, I’d do Deer Valley (so long as you guys aren’t snowboarders). It’s just really nice. For apres and/or lunch, I’d hit either the Stein Erickson or the Montage or both.

For restaurants, I’d concentrate on Main Street. It will be crowded so you will need reservations. Good restaurants are Shabu, Firewood, Riverhorse, Fletchers, 350 Main. I’m personally not a fan of Handle or Tupelo but others like. The Eating Establishment is an underrated all day breakfast/bar place.

For NYE, the Nelson Cottage (owned by High West) does a family style/multi course/whisky pairing dinner. They do two seatings and space is limited. But, a fun experience.

For bars, the obvious ones are known. But, just know that many of the restaurants have bars in their basements that aren’t visible if your walking on the street looking for a place. Fletchers below ground is one of the best. Also, there is a new pie bar/whisky/moonshine place in the basement of 350 Main. There is no signage but it is behind the red curtain. The bar below Firewood is really nice and serves a full dinner menu. Also, for live music, the back room of the Spur after 9pm is usually good.

Several good tips already. I'll add Collie's for sports bar. I've had several good times there and have played a lot of pool in the front room, quality pub food too. Park City Live is the main music venue, check their schedule, looks like they're having a black & white masquerade party for NYE. We've also seen some good artists at the Spur as well.

How is this area for skiing in late March/early April?

Any particular places in this area that have better skiing that late in the season? This is for ski, not board fwiw.

Just an update from Park City. Snow is the best it's been in a decade. However, everyone and their dog knows about it. It is a total clusterfrick. And way too many people around for my liking.

We wound up running up to Nordic valley/Powder mountain, and had the time of our lives. Save yourself some trouble. It may slack off some due to the holidays being over, but that's anybody's guess right now with a great base, and steady fresh snow in the mountains.
